We had such a great walking tour of Trogir with Mihaela. She isn’t part of a big tour company — she’s lived here since she was a kid and really knows the city inside and out. Mihaela came to Trogir from Bosnia during the war more than 30 years ago, and you can tell she has a real appreciation for the history and culture because she hasn’t grown up taking it for granted. She walked us through the old town, pointing out the different layers of history, from Roman and medieval times all the way to how people live here today. What made it special was the mix of facts, stories, and her own experiences of growing up in Trogir. It felt much more personal than a typical group tour and gave us a deeper connection to the city.
