Description
Wondering how to go rafting in Nepal or whether you need previous experience? Trishuli River rafting is a good option for first-time rafters travelling from Kathmandu. The Class II–III rapids offer some excitement without being too difficult, and your river guide will give you a safety briefing and explain the basic paddle commands before you start.
Leave Kathmandu around 6:30 AM and travel to the rafting starting point. After rafting, enjoy a free zipline over the Trishuli River, followed by lunch and a short break. Your raft guide will also take photos during the rafting and transfer them to your phone for free.
After rafting, you can either return to Kathmandu the same day or continue to Pokhara or Chitwan if that is already part of your travel plan. Your bus ticket to Pokhara or Chitwan is included, so you do not need to arrange a separate ticket.
This makes it easy to combine rafting, ziplining and your onward travel in one day.

Fun rafting experience
We had a really enjoyable experience at Trishuli River Resort. The rafting was a highlight, our captain was great, very skilled and made the whole trip both safe and fun. We played a lot of games along the way, which made it even more memorable. We also tried the zip lining, which was a great addition to the day. Overall, a fun and well-organized experience that I’d definitely recommend.
Operator response
