Description

Immerse yourself in history with a unique treasure hunt at the British Museum, the world’s cultural hub. Teams of 2–4 embark on a quest to uncover treasures, from heavy hitters such as the Rosetta Stone & Parthenon marbles to little-visited Korean buddhas & Viking masks, using clues and engaging stories. This dynamic format promotes exploration as your team navigates the museum freely, capturing team photos and completing fun, engaging challenges for bonus points (how you win!) along the way. With a focus on teamwork, each member plays a vital role, making it perfect for groups of friends, family travel, corporate team-building events birthday doos or solo travellers -- all the while meeting new people along the way! Fun for all ages, from inter-generational teams to adults, you'll walk away with fun memories and great photos! Our Aim? To make you look, laugh and learn... Even luring you back in to the museum, after your Culture Quest!

Treasure Hunt in the British Museum

Itinerary

Admission included

Families, Individuals and groups meet within the British Museum for a Treasure Hunt around the UK's most visited attraction. After a mission briefing by your Culture Quest host, teams (of 2-4 people) are dispatched with their Culture Quest booklet to find and photo themselves with as many pieces of treasure as possible within the given time. Light-hearted bonus challenges are embedded in your hunt, requiring engagement, interaction - and laughs - within the "World's Museum". After 90 mins-2 hours of hunting we regroup for a sprightly prize-giving ceremony. The treasure hunt intentionally includes more treasures than you can find, in case you want to return to the galleries after your hunt for a leisurely, yet still targeted visit. Including treasures from Parthenon pediments to Egypt’s Rosetta Stone, Viking chess pieces to lost worlds of Mesopotamia, Mexico, and the Far East — this is your passport to the past! And after all, who doesn’t want to vie for museum glory?

Guaranteed great time!

Daisy de Plume’s Culture Quest at the British Museum is amazing - definitely the most fun you’ll ever have at a museum! Whether you’re an art history aficionado or a complete novice these treasure hunts are for everybody. Both entertaining and educational you’ll learn fascinating facts about the exhibits without even knowing you’re doing it - the best way for sure! Great conversation starter at your next dinner party - we’re still talking about it! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Interactive, Informative and great fun

Had a wonderful time at the British Museum at the weekend. The activities and treasure hunt was a really fun way to explore the museum, and I found myself learning a lot more about the artefacts through this interactive style. Our host Sophie was extremely friendly and helpful with the quest. She was proactive in helping us out as we went around the museum. Thank you to her and CQ

Great time spent with Culture Quest

My time spent with Culture Quest at the British museum was an absolute blast. I did this tour on a visit to London from Paris with my brother, and I totally recommend it, it’s fun and educational.

June 2026 Culture Quest

I know Daisy through another group and she let me join for free. I was with a group of adults, so it was not geared towards us but we still had a lot of fun! The museum was crowded but we were still able to navigate around it fine. It also makes you really pay attentioon to certain details that you would not otherwise notice (such as pieces of trivia). The experience takes around 2-3 hours, with the first 30 minutes being of instruction. They were explained well and it was easy to follow with the sheets we had to fill out. Overall, the experience was fun and it is a great activity for families with small children.
