Traditional visit and tasting

Very good tour. We learned many things about the different Alsatian grape varieties. The owners are passionate and take the time to explain with pedagogy. The tour ends with a tasting of 5 wines of your choice. Our child drank a delicious grape juice. We recommend it 100%.

We were the only guests on this day, so our tour took place quite exclusively. Mr. Specht Sr. patiently answered all our questions. Since we are not wine connoisseurs, there were certainly a few unusual questions among them, but they were all answered in detail. Mr. Specht organized the subsequent wine tasting just as lovingly. He advised us excellently, and we were allowed to taste his delicious wines with a snack that was served. He let us describe each wine ourselves first and then gave us further background information. On this day, we met someone who not only understands his craft but loves it and is also passing it on to the next generation. Domaine Specht in Mittelwihr is the antidote to wine intimidation. We did the guided tour with the winemaker himself, and it was like chatting with a passionate friend who just happens to make fantastic wine. Why It Stands Out No scripts, no rush: The tour felt more like a backstage pass than a rehearsed spiel. Our host broke down the wine-making process in a way that actually stuck. No PhD in oenology required. Behind-the-scenes magic: You get to wander through the cellar, see the tanks, and suddenly, that glass in your hand feels a lot more interesting. It's one thing to taste wine; it's another to understand it. Tasting with a side of storytelling: The lineup was thoughtful, the pace was relaxed, and the best part? You can take home your favorites without feeling like you're funding a château renovation. The prices are refreshingly fair for the full experience. For the "I Just Tagged Along" Crowd Here's the kicker: I'm not even a wine person, and I loved it. It's the kind of place that makes you want to learn, not just nod politely. The tour + tasting combo is such good value, it almost feels like stealing. Except, you know, you're paying (happily).

Traditional sightseeing with tasting of very delicious wines. From Riesling to Gewürztraminer to Pino Noir, this family loves what they do. We got a guided tour in German. Thank you so much!
