Your tour will begin just in front of the main entrance, where you will be given a short introduction to the history of the Tower of London before being led in to meet the Beefeater dedicated to your small group. From stories of traitorous plots to tales of royal scandal, the guards of the Tower of London will bring this attraction to life before your eyes. Your small group will also enable you plenty of chances to ask questions and interact directly with the Beefeater as they lead you through this ancient fortress.
After your tour, continue to discover the Tower at your leisure including a visit to the infamous Bloody Tower, a tour of the old Royal Mint, or a visit to the home of the stunning Crown Jewels. Because of our early morning start time, you will be among the first visitors into the Tower and will have the opportunity to explore without the usual large crowds. At times an important stronghold, a magnificent palace, and an intimidating prison; the Tower of London is a must-see attraction for those interested in British history. It isn't explained quite correctly. SO YOU WAIT FOR REP abd have a 45 min tour outside etc before meet m greet.That can really eat into any time you wanted to spend in crown jewels or exploring.
I think we were a bit short changed as our guide said we would be meeting our beefeater at 12:05. At about 12:20, a woman beefeater who was working inside a booth came over and told us about her life and living in the Tower with her family. That's it. No taking us inside or instructing on how to get in or anything like that. We went in on our own to see the Crown Jewels. I think everyone was a bit confused as we were left dangling and the guide had already left.

As outlined in the tour description prior to booking, the first part of the experience includes our guide escorting guests to meet the Beefeater representative. The remainder of the visit inside the Tower is self-guided, allowing guests to explore the Tower and the Crown Jewels independently. We understand, however, how the handover may have felt unclear on the day, and we apologise if the experience did not match your expectations. Found the guide easily. Pretty good guide. We could hear pretty much everything she said, despite not using a microphone. The Beefeater was very interesting. The Tower was very interesting with several types of exhibits.
We were hoping for a bit more history and information from the beefeater, but we had him for 10 minutes and he spent *at least* half telling everyone that they couldn’t video him. It was very disappointing overall. We would not recommend this, and we paid quite a lot for it and wish we had skipped it and just visited the tower on our own.

Was a must to do at least once. Loved the stories and history told. Our guide was the best she was funny and friendly.
This tour was so interesting and I would highly recommend taking a tour that includes a chat with a Beefeater. Their history, their role at the Tower, and their daily lives is all so interesting.
A somber view of 1000 years of Brutal British Royal history. The Crown Jewels are one thing. Continuing the Yeomen traditions and the Tower Armoury is something else entirely. Spectacular.
Our Yeoman Warder guide, Wayne, number 419, was absolutely superb! He had a great sense of humor, knew how to tell a good story, had a good, carrying voice so that we could all hear. And he shepherded us around at a good speed through the big crowds. We had loads of fun on his tour!
This was a great private tour early in the morning before other tourists arrive. They tell you a lot of history about the Tower of London and then introduce you to the beefeaters that live on the property. Then you get to tour the Tower of London on your own free time. The only downside is that there is a lot of walking and standing and no place to sit. If you are elderly or more medically fragile, I would think this would be a hard tour to go on.
David did an amazing tour for us. He was very knowledgeable about every topic. Wow, this was a great tour!
