Tour 10 out of 10
It was an excellent experience, Daniel's treatment was very kind, he explained everything to us very well and answered our many questions. We highly recommend this tour, plus since it is a small group (there were 3 of us), the treatment is personalized.

Incredible Experience
My tour guide, Daniel, was passionate and knowledgeable about the ruins, regional culture, and cuisine.
Without spoiling too much, regarding the Guachimontones ruins, whilst the civilisation shared similar structures to other cultures throughout central america (e.g. pyramids and game courts), their practices were very different. Daniel was more than happy to explain in both English and Spanish.
The tour of the distillary was very interesting, as they not only explained how tequila is made, but also an explinations as to different usages of agave, how pure tequila is made, and alternative methods or ingredients other distillaries may use to expedite the process. The distillary also provided samples of tequila with different alcohol concentrations (from about 55% to a 0% alternative).
Finally we finished by exploring and eating near Plaza Principal de Tequila.
In summary, a great way to spend a day and get to know just one aspect of Jalisco's rich culture and history.

Perfect combination
The perfect combination to learn about the history of the Tequila valleys and the process in an artisanal distillery where the tour was personalized. We highly recommend not missing this tour.

Awesome day!
Awesome day - learnt so much! About Tequila - how it’s made and about Mexican history. Great to get out of the city and into the country and small towns.

The Ultimate Jalisco Day with Daniel!
We had an unforgettable day trip from Guadalajara to Tequila and Guachimontones, a UNESCO world heritage site, and I can’t recommend Daniel’s tour enough. He is also a super nice guy, and you will genuinely enjoy spending the day with him. He anticipated everything: bathroom breaks, snacks, chargers, a super comfortable van, and he kept the group small so we could really connect with fellow travelers from Australia and Colombia. We learned so much about the agave plant, tequila production from field to bottle, and the history behind the unique circular pyramids at Guachimontones, all explained with clear, engaging context. This tour gave us a deep appreciation for Jalisco’s culture, food, and landscapes, far beyond what you see on TV, and is a must‑do whether or not it’s World Cup season.
Things to bring: sunscreen, bug spray, small bills for tips, a small plastic or wet bag for your tequila tasting cup keepsakes, and wet wipes for sticky hands.
Thank you, Daniel (Dani‑El), for an amazing and thoughtful experience.

More than just something to tick off your bucket list
Guachimontones was easily the highlight imo! The traditional food & drinks are a treat too!!
Both Tequila & Teuchitlán are well worth the visit. Vibrant towns in their own ways, but prob would’ve been nicer to have a bit more time on the itinerary for Tequila Town in the end.
Guide was really informative and friendly. Can tell they’re passionate about this!
However I did feel pressured by them to tip at buffet in Tequila despite minimal service from staff, so much so that they forgot to bring me a drink, but were going to charge for it anyway. Listen I mean fair enough it’s only a few pesos, but when almost everywhere in México expects tips from tourists regardless of how much prices are sometimes inflated, I feel like it should be a more discrete suggestion given whatever the service is like that particular day as a matter of principle
Operator response
In Mexico tip at restaurants and other services is normal, part of the culture but we understand you. We are happy to read that the rest of the day was great for you.

Great tour with fantastic guide
We were in town for a World Cup match and decided to book this tour. Danny was our tour guide and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable of the pyramid’s and took us to a REAL tequila distillery. He also gave us good bar / restaurant recommendations that we utilized. So much fun and if we are in town again we will try to book with him again.
Operator response
Thank you so much Mr Kevin. We would like to see you again whenever you come.

Great tour of Tequila with Daniel!
From the moment of booking, Daniel is incredibly attentive. The meeting point was super punctual and the tour was truly amazing! Daniel is a great expert in the area, Guachimontones is very beautiful and it is a great option to do it with Daniel.
It is worth mentioning that being a small group, the attention is very good! And we were a mixed group with 2 people from Korea who made the experience very enjoyable. The tequila tour is at a super delicious local distillery!
We will definitely book another tour with Daniel!!!
