Itinerary
The Tour of Contrasts in Italian starts from the Volatour office near Times Square. After a short journey along the east side of Manhattan, cross the Harlem River to enter the Bronx where the first stop will be in front of the Yankee Stadium, the historic arena where the games of the American baseball championship take place. Entering the neighborhood you will pass by Grand Councorse Boulevard and Fordham University, until you reach Arthur Avenue, the Little Italy of the Bronx with its renowned Italian market, where you can relax with an excellent espresso or a tasty sandwich, or simply browse between the shops in the market.
The tour will continue to Queens where you will have the opportunity to visit the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, home of the Queens Museum of Art, of the stadium where the US Open is held. You can also admire the famous Unisphere, the huge steel sculpture that represents the terrestrial globe.
The tour will continue south to Brooklyn. Here we will visit Williamsburg, a fascinating multi-ethnic neighborhood known for the vast Hasidic Orthodox Jewish community, and for the hipster coumintà that has made it one of the most vibrant and lively neighborhoods of New York. We will also visit the Bushwick neighborhood, New York's most prolific neighborhood with regards to Street Art and Graffiti. Finally, we will return to Midtown where the tour will end at the Volatour office!

My husband and I took this tour, which allowed us to see the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn. The guide William is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, very engaging. Certainly, the tour itself is nice, but the guide definitely made a difference!
Don't do it! In Brooklyn, he only drops you off at a mural, never in other neighborhoods, he doesn't show Dumbo, we don't even go close, the Jewish Quarter shows you on the bus, the Bronx only gives you a 10-minute ride in little Italy, and that's it! Poor, we expected a walk in Brooklyn, now we all have to make ourselves alone
We were accompanied by the guide Emanuela, professional person, very prepared and nice. Visited the various districts especially the Bushwick neighborhood, very beautiful murals.
We bought the tour of contrasts that proved useless! We caught a grotesque and unsympathetic guide, made a few stops of just 5 minutes, including one in the Jewish Quarter to accompany the guide to buy cookies at the store instead of turning into the neighborhood! In our itinerary was indicated the visit to Dumbo for the Brooklyn Bridge but it was not done! We could have avoided spending 75€ per person!
Don't let them fool you. A total crap including transfer and guide that made us spend 5 hours including 4 in the bus to show us, from the bus, hospices hospitals and cemeteries. In the Bronx neighborhood made us go down to a market that I would call dilapidated,! in the queens a walk between the murals (around a block) and Brooklyn view bottled in traffic His presence was limited to describing to us from the bus what was left and right of our direction of travel.
Unfriendly driving and with over-fucking attitude. Of the five hours four were spent only by bus, with inaccurate explanations, uninteresting and certainly not able to tell the story of the neighborhoods visited. The guide did not even get off the bus to accompany us during the few stops made.
The guide is very prepared and the tour you do is super complete! It is an opportunity to visit areas of the city less traveled but still very very interesting and then also going a long way by bus is not too tiring.
Very interesting tour to have a flouring of the main neighborhoods of New York City. Very knowledgeable guide who tells you a lot of curiosities, from Madison avenue, to harlem, to the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn.
Let yourself be taken to discover the contrasts of New York by a prepared guy who will kindly show you interesting places and explain his city in good Italian. Let William help you.
Well organized tour, the guide Laura was very knowledgeable and attentive as were the other guides Rosy and Giov.
