Tour ETNA-TAORMINA-ISOLA BELLA

Recommended for a different kind of day

Highly recommend this trip since you can see the etna volcano, taormina city and since it’s not yet the season, we wisited castelmole which was also incredible.

I had a terrible experience with this company. Don’t use them! To start, I arrived and company said your tour has been cancelled and we can’t refund since it’s within 24hrs so we are putting you on another tour. Didn’t give me a choice and lied to GwtYourGuide saying they had called the day prior. Tour was supposed to be 8 hours, 3 places (Etna, Isola, Taormina) with an English speaking driver. (As stated in the description) The driver didn’t speak any English and the 6 people on our tour spoke no Italian. We had someone sick in the van and found hard to communicate with the driver. We all messaged and called the company to which they didn’t respond. The driver picked up his wife and daughter (so went 30min out of the way to Etna and cut into our time). They didn’t pay for tour. He added an extra stop before heading to Taormina for “lunch”. Tour company stated we were off time because of our sick passenger needing to stop, but that was for 5 min 30min prior coming down the windy roads from Etna. No one on the tour wanted to eat but the driver did with his family. We only had 1.5 hrs in Taormina instead of 3 as listed. We couldn’t go to the amphitheatre as it was closing and almost dark. The driver was driving erratic and again we couldn’t communicate. Also, after picking up his mom paying family the van was overpacked and not seat belts for everyone which we tried to communicate was a safety risk, but he didn’t understand. We wanted to over home for safety, but it was going to be $350. Upon getting back we spoke to the tour company and they simply said, you did the tour so no refunds. Erica was working and was beyond rude. She refused to let us speak with her manager after stating she was tired after working 8 hours and wanted to go home. If you had called us earlier we could have helped. We told them we tried calling and showed receipts, but they said we didn’t receive any calls. All of our photo time stamps showed the lack of time at destinations as advertised in the listing but the tour company claimed “their GPS in the van” showed we were there for longer. This company is a scam. Never use them! Photo added of Naxos (not on our tour) where the driver stopped to eat even after we asked him to stick to itinerary. Photo was taken at 2:55pm and the tour company stated we were in Taormina from 2-5pm. In reality it was 336pm-5pm. We didn’t get to do or see what we wanted.

Punctual economic essential. You have the opportunity to see destinations in absolute freedom. Perfect, I guess. Special thanks to Davide who accompanied us on the tour for his availability

The worst tour company I have ever toured with. Totally disappointed from start to finish . We were recommended to do this tour over just visiting Etna. What a waste. When we arrived at Etna we didn’t have time to do anything or see it , totally disappointed. We paid extra to be collected at our hotel. After standing outside for an hour and repeated phone calls he turned up. Bad start. Then we discover he doesn’t speak English and we had no translation so from start to finish a complete and utter waste of time and would not recommend.

Money grab for tourists. Poor communication from driver. Went an hour overtime due to delays. Not enough time in Taormina

I did not like the organization, it was not explained well and it was not explained well what would be done on that tour. Arrived on the volcano c was another guide where I asked and practically at the same price they did the real tour, in short what I paid more with tourist dream was not worth the expense. So I suggest you to let them explain well and clearly what you do!

in all my trips i have never seen something like this-- THIS IS NOT A TOUR!!!!!!!! only a taxi!!!!!! make your maths and take it if you need a shared taxi,which what it is!!!! the driver ,who has not introduced himself, never said hello or goodbye, does not care about anyone just write on a paper the hour you must be back...... those people has to work anyhing else but not in tourism!

We loved Taormina, beautiful town. The full trip is great when staying for a few days in Catania. On our stop at Isola Bella some people from the group complained about the stop being so short. It was a total misunderstanding, the driver was very kind and flexible on how we wanted to stretch our stops and we appreciated that. Very well organized by Tourist Dream, a big thanks to Michela for taking us through all the options on what to visit and helping arrange our return home on the last day.
