We had the best time touring the cenotes with Juan Pablo! He picked us up from our resort and drove us right to the caves. He had life jackets, shoes, underwater flash lights, and a camera all ready for us. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and funny! We would absolutely do this again and would recommend it to everyone visiting Riviera Maya! 10/10 would recommend! Loved it!!!
A great experience. Our group ages 4-70 had a fantastic time with our guide JP! Perfect for small groups.
Our experience visiting Santa Cruz cenote far exceeded our expectations! My family of four were the only ones on the tour, and our tour guide JP was friendly and knowledgeable. It was so fun to go through the dark caves using the underwater flashlight. There was also a small rope swing about halfway through the tour that was a bonus for our teenagers! It made it extra special that JP brought his waterproof camera and took photos of our family and shared them without additional cost! He also let my daughter borrow a waterproof case for her iPhone. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want a more personal touch. It really is beautiful.
Everything from start to finish was excellent. Communication, pick-up and drop off, information provided, and the fabulous cenotes and personable guide. My husband and I did this tour six years ago, and in taking our children and grandchildren this year, this was one experience from our earlier trip that we wanted to share with them, This is once in a lifetime adventure we will not forget. Thank you.
This was a remarkable experience. We spent over 2 hours working our way through a cave system featuring 9 different chambers. Our guide, JP, opened this cave system over 20 years ago and was full of interesting information. We took our time through the cave, swimming and exploring, and it was the highlight of the trip. I highly recommend you do this.
We had a phenomenal excursion with Juan Pablo as our Guide at Cenote Santa Cruz Akumal that truly Exceeded Expectations. The nominal fee included transportation from and back to our resort just south of Akumal. Our group of 4 were the only people on the tour! No buses or waiting around for strangers to get out of the background of our pictures. All of our questions were answered and Juan Pablo was full of so many answers to questions that we didn't ask. Juan Pablo did a fantastic job of explaining the science behind the creation of the cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula, how the water level and clarity are maintained, while looking out for our safety and mixing in a great sense of humor. We were able to enjoy the 1/4 mile underground swimming/spelunking experience for as long as we cared to. Juan Pablo even took us to a street taco vendor in Akumal for lunch at our request! We can't recommend this very private, informative, and awe-inspiring tour enough! We made contact with Juan Pablo at the phone number on his website (he sent us a text message a few hours after we tried) as well as his e-mail address, akumaljp@hotmail.com. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience!
A cenote experience is a must when visiting this part of Mexico - a Cenote is a 'sinkhole' but could just be described as an underground cave. the water was cool, but being able to swim underground was amazing.
Beautiful Cenote, nice and quiet if you go early. Very clean, staff is nice and the grounds are kept clean. We went first thing in the morning when they opened and we're the only people there for close to an hour.
Victor was an excellent tour guide. The tour exceeded expectations and was very interesting, personable, and informative. Really enjoyed exploring the chambers and pathways of the cenotaph cave system.
Great trip to cenotes with Viktor. Met him at meeting point in Akumal as directions, easy to find. We stayed in Secrets Akumal, therefore 15-20 minutes walk. Easy! Viktor drove us for few minutes in his pick up to a jungle and access to cenote, which was steppes into underground cenote. The whole experience was different to other cenote tripswe had in Mexico before, Viktors knowledge was great, took his time (we let couple small tours to pass us), so we could fully enjoy the place to ourselves. Wee were there for couple hours. I recommend this to anyone.
