Tour Arrábida / Azeitão

This was a great tour. Our guide Francisco was excellent amd informative. He picked us up at the Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel on time. He was a great driver too. He showed us a few things not on the itinerary. As the wine tasting was extra he gave us an option to go to a free market but we chose to do the wine tasting which fantastic. It was just under 18 euro pp. We received 2 whotes, 2 reds and a desser wine, sheep cheese, jam and crackers. We got a tour of the vineyard and the priduction area. Total time was just over 4 hours. Francisco gave us a tip for a local restaurant to visit, the Formiga Snack Bar very close to our hotel. Place was delicious and close to our hotel.

There were five of us on the Arrábida wine tour, led by Leonardo from Budger Tour. We visited a local, small-scale wine producer, who showed us most of the process involved in making mainly white wines and the famous Muscat; it was very enjoyable and the wines were excellent. Afterwards, Leonardo took us on a tour around the Arrábida mountains and we saw incredible places and views; it was fascinating to listen to Leonardo’s knowledge of the area. A tip for all of you lucky enough to visit Sesimbra: look up Badger Tours, book this excursion and ask specifically for Leonardo – you won’t regret it.

Recent golf group tour to Sesimbra. Francesco and Badger Tours provided all transfers plus a very informative vinyard/local area tour. Couldnt fault any of the trips provided by Francesco, his wife and also Leonardo. Would certainly use them again and reccomend.

Great tour of the surroundings of Sassimbra. The wine tasting and tour was very good and the visit to the homemade tile makers was great. We also had the chance to visit a small port city and the sightseeing stops along the way were breathtaking!

Badger Tours gave a wonderful day of site-seeing through the Parque Natural da Arrabida or the Natural Park of Arrabida. Francisco, our tour guide, took us high up into the hills of the park that had the most breath-taking vistas. We saw a 16th century Franciscan convent below us tucked into the trees of the park. Francisco pointed out the longest beach in Europe - 65 kms in length! - and home to well known stars of the film and music world. We toured Forte de Sao Filipe, a beautiful 16th century fort perched on the hills overlooking the harbour and city of Setubal. Travelling on to Setubal, we got to experience the market and had a tapas lunch with a lovely Portuguese wine with Pastel de Nata for dessert. After Setubal, we visited a Portuguese tile maker who showed us the age-old process of tile making with designs inspired by Moorish history. Francisco gave us an unforgettable day travelling through this treasure of a park and its surrounding area. He is very knowledgable and provided us with great history and background information. My wife and I highly recommend this trip through Arrabida. Francisco will not disappoint!

Francisco took care of us from the get go. My husband was limited on his walking and Francisco made sure to accommodate us. The area was beautiful. Great way to spend our last day and with our tour guide. I highly recommend Badger Tour when visiting Portugal. We will be back.

The half day Arrabida tour was excellent value at 65 euros including as it did a wine tasting and a visit to an azulejos maker. But the real highlight was the scenery, with an abundance of beautiful coastal landscapes.

EXCELLENT and to repeat, for any Cover, the organizers and the guide have a lot of competence and know the site well, and explain and respond to all the questions that are asked about the places. Also a wine tasting in a cellar was excellent.
