I had wanted to visit the canyon for years. I booked a tour for July 2026. There were very few tourists in Arizona and Utah at that time—perhaps due to the World Cup or Trump. Just imagine: it was just me and my wonderful guide, Brian, a member of the local tribe. Thank you, my guide, for the stories and the time you dedicated to me.
Ryan was a wonderful guide, and this was an incredible semi-private tour!
My husband and I had consciously decided against the crowded Antelope Canyon, and we did not regret it for a second. We were very lucky that we were the only ones on the tour - so we could not have had a better experience while exploring the canyons. Our guide Ryan was super friendly and told us many interesting things during the hike. He took great photos of us and even played a traditional flute in between, which created an incredibly beautiful atmosphere all alone in the canyon! The communication with the provider in advance was also very good; we were able to easily rebook the tour to an earlier time on short notice (because of the heat). Thank you for this great experience ❤️
We had our tour with Brian and he was a lovely guide. A phenomenal photographer and educator! We learned a lot with him and had a great time. He gave great historical and cultural insights about how the land and the canyon was formed and used. In the summertime, highly suggest going early in the morning to beat the heat and have great lighting for your photos.
This was a great experience. It ended up being only our family of 4. Brian was very knowledgeable and fun. Definitely recommend.
My family had a wonderful experience at Waterhole Canyon. We booked the 9 am hiking tour so we could avoid the afternoon heat. For safety reasons, the tour guides will not take guests out if it is above 95 degrees. Our guide Ryan was friendly and very knowledgeable. He told us about the slot canyon, Navajo history and his family history, and the native wildlife. The hike was over a hour and a half and we had plenty of time to stop and take as many photos as we liked. We took a 10 minute break in the middle of the canyon and Ryan play us a beautiful song on his hand-made flute. The canyon was gorgeous and very similar to Antelope Canyon. The difference is that there were no long wait times, it is easy to schedule a tour, there was no rushed feeling on the hike and my family of four were the only ones on the tour. I highly recommend the Waterhole Canyon hiking tour.
I have always wanted to do a slot canyon, but my husband doesn’t like hiking. I talked him into this tour and we both LOVED it!! Ryan, our guide, was so knowledgeable and helpful. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I’m ever back in Page!
This was one of the best experiences so far on our holiday. While Antilopecanyon maybe give nicer photo's, this one gave us an experience that Antilope canyon could not give. The groupsize was small, just our family. Our tourguide Brian gave lots of information, showed us remaing fossiles and was a pleasure to talk with. At the moment one of our group suffered from the heat he knew what to do. I would definetly advice this tour!
This was an amazing experience I’m so glad we stopped and did. Our guide Ryan was so friendly and had many great facts and stories about the land and the canyon itself. The whole tour was beautiful and on beautiful land. Our tour guide was amazing and mentioned it being a family owned business. I would 1000% recommend this tour to anyone and everyone.
An absolute treat!!! Ryan, our tour guide, was incredible. Highly recommend -
