Where our tour begins and our first ghost story of the evening.
See how far inland Lake Ontario's waters used to reach in the early days of the city.
The St. Lawrence Market is one of the longest-running markets in North America, popular with both locals and tourists. But when stepping through the doors of the Market, it’s difficult to imagine that the area has seen many darker days over the years.
The cathedral, with construction beginning in 1850 and opening for services on June 19, 1853, was one of the largest buildings in the city at that time. It was designed by Frederick William Cumberland and is a prime example of Gothic Revival architecture....is it haunted?
Our final story of the evening features one of Toronto's most well-known haunted buildings.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Original Haunted Walk of Toronto — it was so much fun walking around the city at night and learning about Toronto’s history and ghost stories. Our guide, Alicia, made the whole experience! She was witty, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly loved what she does. She struck the perfect balance between spooky storytelling and real local history, and made sure everyone in the group felt included the whole way through. My favorite stops were the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre and Mackenzie House. The pace was great, the stops were genuinely interesting, and I walked away with a whole new appreciation for the city’s darker past. Highly recommend this tour, and cheer if you get Alicia — she’s a gem!
Carolyn was an awesome guide! Great story teller keep us engaged the whole time and stayed after to answer questions and tell other little tidbits definitely recommend her tour!
Carolyn, our guide on the Haunted Ghost Tour, was absolutely wonderful! She was very interesting and informative, and her dramatic voice really drew us in and had us excited to hear what was going to happen next. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend the tour. Thank you, Carolyn, for making it such a memorable evenig 😊
Meredith was a great guide! She was very friendly and eager to tell stories about Toronto’s history with a spooky twist. She kept checking to make sure everyone was comfortable even though there’s nothing very disturbing on the tour. The tour was a good way to explore the old town and learn about some of the city’s different layers of history and its mysteries. I recommend it for history buffs or anyone looking to explore the city in a short time.
Got to see some unique parts of city and hear some neat stories. Dev was really nice and easy to talk to
Guide told some spooky tales, he was very knowledgeable and told them well. Very interesting. I didn't see any ghosts, but not sorry about that.
Inez was a terrific guide. She was personable and knowledgeable!
Amazing experience, great guide. Had an AMAZING time. Will definitely recommend to friends. Learnt alot about my city.
Knowledgeable guide with interesting stories. She told the stories enthusiastically and answered follow up questions. It wasn’t quite dark when we started, but that would have made it a little better. The cloak was a nice touch.
Amy was very patient, kind, and engaged in our tour. The stories and locations were fascinating, and the weather was perfect. While I didn’t think the stories were scary, it was ominous and disturbing, but not horrific or terrifying like other tours I’ve taken around the world. It was a little hard to hear Amy at points as the area was very lively and loud, but it’s in the middle of a city so it’s expected. I tried to be as focused as possible but even in a small group, it was a struggle to hear her. I’d advise the company to be mindful or selective about more “quiet” spots to storytell so that we can take the full advantage of the tour. Overall, I recommend it to anyone who wants an awesome tour of spooky Toronto. P.s Amy’s husband: if you’re reading this, yes she’s got a real job and she’s damn good at it. :)
