Piazza San Carlo, one of Turin’s most precious gems, is shrouded in a history full of charm and intrigue! In this square we will see the characteristic "Twin Churches" : get ready!
Before arriving at the imposing Piazza Castello we stroll through this historic square where we find the Palace of the same name. Palazzo Carignano is one of Italy’s most impressive 17th-century palaces and home to the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento.
Piazza Castello was the vital center of aristocratic life during the period of the Savoia kingdom and still retains its central role in the heart of Turin. Framed by Turin’s characteristic porticoes, the city’s main streets run from here: via Roma, via Garibaldi, renowned for its affordable shopping, and via Po, which leads directly to the river of the same name.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. it’s one of the most important buildings in Turin. Originally a bishop’s palace, it was redesigned in the late 16th century at the behest of Duke Emanuele Filiberto when Turin became the capital of the Savoia dukedom. Ticket for this are not included in the tour (15€)
The palace, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses the Civic Museum of Ancient Art. In the past, in place of this imposing building stood the Porta Decumana during the Roman era, which served as access to the city from the Po side. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, the gate was converted into a fortress for defensive purposes. Ticket is not inlcuded (10€)
Lovely church with an important story and some interesting curiosities! The dome of the church is one of the features of the Turin skyline.
Here we are at the only Renaissance-style church in the city! This building was built between 1491 and 1498 while the bell tower is slightly older (1468). The complex was expanded in the 17th century when an additional chapel was built for the preservation of the Holy Shroud.
Beautiful, imposing, unmissable. A symbol of the city, the Mole always leaves you speechless. We will go through the story of this building. Tickets not included (from 10€)
Over 38,000 square meters of area for one of the largest squares in Europe. It was created in the early 1800s, when there was a desire to expand the city towards the Po River it was named after Vittorio Emanuele I until the end of World War I when it changed its name to Vittorio Veneto Square.
Imposing and beautiful this church was built to commemorate the return of Victor Emmanuel I of Savoia to command the city after the defeat of Napoleon. Some cool stories behind this church!

Beautiful experience in Turin, well explained
I was a reasonable guide but it was sometime hard to know what at anytime you should be looking at. Maybe more photos with exact headings would have been helpful, That said, if you are time poor in this city, it,s a good option.
This is an awful product. It is certainly not a long cal guide recording. It is the ubiquitous AI voice set to read an AI script taken from god knows where. Very poor.
We are sorry you didn't enjoy our Turin guide. We enlisted a local tour guide to create it, ensuring the tips and information were up-to-date and reliable 😎! We are also currently updating the audio content to improve quality in that regard as well 😉. I hope this response helps other travelers, too! Ciao Federica Walking Cap
Disappointed gave up and went on hop on off instead
Ciao! We are always keen to respond to reviews and learn—there is always room for improvement! However, in this case, we find it hard to take anything constructive from this review 🥲. Ciao Federica Walking Cap
We had a nice experience in Torino thanks to the Walking Cap city guide we bought from TripAdvisor. We've been able to visit nice places at our own pace, knowing we would get the most important informations about each location - and a few fun facts too! Definitely an experience I recommend.
Fast delivery of the password, very clear instructions and content, great explanations and a very good selection of the relevant Points of Interest!! And you do everything at your own pace, easy repetition is possible!! 👌
We really enjoyed the tour. It was very informative and the map led us to our next destination. Very easy to use.
A good experience, allows you to see the most beautiful sites,
We explored Turin on foot for a good two hours. The monuments are varied and offer a beautiful array of what is essential to see. We made a few detours along the way that significantly and pleasantly extended the visit. The explanations were interesting; more anecdotes would make my visit even more personal. A wonderful experience that I recommend.
It is under all criticism that it is sold as a tour with a local guide
Hi, as explained in the product description, the product details, the recap email you receive immediately after booking, and the WhatsApp message, this is a digital guide written by a local for exploring Turin independently! 😌 I hope this answer can help other travelers! Ciao Walking Cap
