Topkapı Palace + Harem section private guided tour

We were so lucky to meet Kadir! We didn’t plan on having a guide for the Hagia Sophia and on our way there we were constantly turning down offers for samples, restaurants, and carpets. We were a little worn out. When we were in front of Hagia Sophia there was a long line and it was a little chaotic and there were a lot of guides proposing tours. Our initial reaction was to ignore them all. When Kadir approached us we first didn’t want guiding but after we realized we could get to the front of the line and have a personal experience for not much more than the cost of admission we agreed. We were glad we did. We learned being a guide in Istanbul requires a university degree and expertise. He was very informative and made the experience much better. We appreciated the guidance so much we had him guide us again for the Topkapi Palace as well two days later. Thank you Kadir!

I am with my family, and while I’m in university, my family is much less interested in the nitty gritty details of the sites and are more interested in the big picture. Kedir was our tour guide and he is extremely knowledgeable. He does a great job catering to both types of people: when I want detail he gives it and when my parents want basics, he provides that too. He is able to answer your questions likely because he doesn’t follow a script. He really is just THAT knowledgeable. He is so personable and friendly and it’s a joy to speak with him because of his passion for his work. We had him twice and are going to see him again because of how much we love him. Kadir is the nicest guy we meet in instanbul and he took me and my son on an incredible tour of the Hagia Sophia mosque! He’s knowledge of this historic ancient mosque that has also been at the center of Christian history was enlightened and made the tour worth it!
