We absolutely recommend this tour
We did the Excursión a Timanfaya y las Montañas del Fuego Experience!
We absolutely loved this tour! It was incredibly complete and one of the best ways to truly get to know Lanzarote. But what made the experience even more special was, without a doubt, our guide, Cristina.
Cristina was amazing from start to finish, so kind, friendly and genuine. More than a guided tour, it felt like we were exploring the island with a friend who just happens to know absolutely everything about Lanzarote. She explained everything in such a natural and interesting way, without ever sounding like the typical rehearsed speech you sometimes get on tours.
Her knowledge of the island is incredible: from its history and volcanoes to the earthquakes, the vineyards and Lanzarote’s unique way of growing grapes, the Green Lagoon, the camels, the artists and the island’s culture. And because her family has lived in Lanzarote for many generations, it was even more fascinating to hear stories and experiences passed down through her parents and grandparents, giving us a much more personal and authentic perspective on life on the island and how it has changed over time.
You can really tell how deeply she knows Lanzarote and how much she genuinely enjoys sharing that knowledge. She answered all our questions, always adding interesting facts and context, and made us see many of the places we visited from a completely different perspective.
It was such a lovely morning, we learned so much without it ever feeling like a “lesson”, and we finished the tour feeling like we understood Lanzarote so much better than before.
We absolutely recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Cristina as your guide. ❤️

Highlight of my holiday
Hopefully I’ve left this on the right excursion page as there are a few. We booked an early evening tour with vineyard stop off, bbq and sunset viewing via our Tui rep.
Absolutely loved it. The guide (I think her name was Korette) was lovely, very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about her home country. We stopped off in a few places for pictures (gave us a few toilet break opportunities too), Korette also pointed out various things and explained the history as we drove around. My son (9) loved the “experiments” they showed us. Dinner was lovely and we very much enjoyed watching the sun set. Only downside was the vineyard stop which was very brief and a bit rushed but this wasn’t really what we booked the tour for so wasn’t an issue. We had a bit of a “pool side” holiday and I’m so glad we did the tour as came away feeling like we’d seen an important part of the island. Kudos to the coach driver on those scary roads!!

Evening trip
Timafaya evening trip £110 each definitely not worth the money and the food in the restaurant was not very good well that’s my opinion, but looking round there was a lot of food left
Operator response
Hello, please check the company you booked the excursion with. It wasn´t definitely us, we are Lanzarote Experience Tour, and we do not offer any excursions on Thursdays or any evening trips. I kindly ask you , please, to remove your comment from our file and put it on the correct company. Thank you very much.

A must do to understand the wonders of Lanzarote
This is true history and culture. Special scenery and interesting facts. We drove here following a well signed route. You cant access any further up unless you pay at the gate. The ticket give you access up to the top where you are guided where to park, a ride on a coach around the volcano and then to see areas around too (without giving too much away!)
We ate in the restaurant (theres a cafe on site too) and the food was really tasty! a bit on the pricey side but really enjoyed the ambiance and views.
The coach is a hairy experience! but these drivers are so used to it. Theres a voice over in Spanish, English and German explaining the sites and giving information.

Wonderful tour…do not miss!
A wonderful experience. Our guide, Nick, provided us with a great adventure. He is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful. He gave us important safety advice along the way, which is very useful in this volcanic area. He has a deep interest in Lanzarote and its volcanoes which he shared with us. Bus was very comfortable. Driver was superb.

Book with the independent agent rather that TUI cheaper good day out.
Great trip.Picked up promptly. The guide was very good and spoke several languages.Only downside he dropped us at a cafe on the way and said it was the only toilet stop of the day.We stopped and the owner was charging €1 each to use the toilet ,very disappointing. On the way back he dropped us there again but you could wee for free if you bought food or drink😡😡Camel rides were good, felt a bit sorry for them in the heat but supposed they’re used to it!The demonstrations at the top of the volcano were very interesting.A bit scary driving on the top roads as they were very narrow and steep. We booked with an independent company as it was €30 cheaper than with TUI .All in all a good day out .
