A visit to Tiananmen Square is one thing, the agency that books the experience is another. Regarding this, since we were in a hurry and for a few euros we didn't want to take any risks, nothing to say. The booking confirmation arrived in a few hours. So, thank you. If you don't want to have any problems, it is best to rely on them. As for the Square, it is certainly beautiful, but there are checks upon checks and you are not free to turn back. Obviously the place is worth a visit, but it is best to go very early so as not to find too many people. Even though we entered at 8 in the morning, there were already a lot of people.
This is a great service to book the ticket for access to Tiananmen Square. Very easy instead of navigation we-chat. I had a wait time of only 20 minutes and went at 12pm in the day from a side entrance on Nanheyan Avenue into the north part of Tiananmen Square. When i walked south and left that way they had huge queues, so I'd avoid entering that way. Please be aware - I did the Forbidden City earlier that morning and people were coming in from the Duanmen Building and on loudspeaker it said this walkway was an exit only and no entrance back to the Square ( so look at it but don't go through into the Duanmen yet because you can't go back to the square ). My first photo. Anyone complaining about the wait times, this has nothing to do with the tour company but the fact in August is peak season with domestic tourism.meaning long queues, if you go later. Tips - try a side entrance, go earlier, don't go through the building with Mao on it until you've walked under the road to see all of the square south then come back that way.
Thank you so much for sharing such detailed, practical first‑hand tips for visiting Tiananmen Square! We really appreciate your honest feedback on our ticketing service. It’s very helpful for other travelers to know about the less‑crowded side entrance on Nanheyan Avenue and the important reminder about the Duanmen Building being exit‑only in one direction. August is indeed peak tourist season, so wait times will naturally be longer for visitors arriving later in the day. We hope your trip went wonderfully, and thank you again for your great review!
The tour experience is excellent. However, the checks at the multiple security gates made it very burdensome, especially due to the very long lines in the sun without the assigned staff activating the water misting fans, despite them being present, to make the wait less grueling.
Thank you for your positive feedback regarding your visit experience. We are sorry to hear about the difficult waiting conditions you faced at the venue’s multiple security checkpoints, including the long queues in the sun and the mist fans not being activated by on‑site attraction staff. As we only provide ticket booking service, we do not manage the attraction’s on‑site operations. Still, we will pass your valuable observations to the attraction’s management team for their reference. We appreciate you taking the time to share this, and hope you will enjoy future visits.
3 hours of waiting to go through security, they wouldn't let us through unless we left some books outside and a pen as if we were criminals. All this to see a square that has absolutely nothing beautiful about it.
We are very sorry that long waiting times and the security‑check procedure ruined your visit. We take your report very seriously and will pass it to the relevant departments to improve the experience for future visitors. We also regret that the square did not meet your expectations.
We had booked tickets through Booking.com, but apparently had to wait 2 to 3 hours in line first, for no apparent reason. So we did not visit the square in the end and lost our money.
So sorry to hear you had such a tough time. It’s peak season right now, which means queues are longer than normal. We suggest coming at less busy times and skipping the afternoon hours. You can rebook for free – just get in touch with us and we’ll sort it out.
The queue for the first checkpoint at around 10am was fairly quick, the second took about 45 mins. I couldn’t face the longer third checkpoint in the exhausting heat and humidity. May try again another day in the evening but will book by WeChat for free.
So sorry to hear you had such a tough time waiting in the queues today. If you’d like to reschedule, feel free to get in touch with us — we can make the adjustment completely free of charge.
Admission to the square is free, but it is so nice not to have to do the registration yourself. You arrive, you show your registration, and you go through. I do not regret paying for the service. The Chinese staff are very helpful, but sometimes it takes a long time to have to look for someone to show us how to do it and accompany us. With this service, there is no need.
Merci beaucoup pour ce gentil retour ! It makes me so happy to hear our skip self-registration service saved you tons of trouble at Tiananmen Square. No more running around to find staff for guidance, just show your reservation and head straight in — totally worth the small fee, right 🎇 Hope you loved the stunning view of the square!
You have to wait for hours to get in. Extremely strict security. Maybe you could spend 25 minutes there ?
Hi there, this is Ezio 😊 Thanks a lot for sharing your real experience of Tiananmen Square! Security checks here are mandatory for all visitors, and we always remind guests to reserve enough time in advance before arrival. Though the visiting time inside is limited, the iconic landmark view is totally worth it✨ Hope you still had a nice little trip in Beijing!
