Angeliki is the top tour guide!
Our guide Angeliki had excellent communication prior to the tour and was easy to find on the day. She was delightful and sweet, caring for each of us and making sure we were all included. She was very knowledgeable of the area and made great recommendations for the rest of our day. She allowed adjustments to the path and we had a great time!

Nice, relaxed walk around Thessaloniki
Very pleasant relaxed walk that took us to the high point at the castle in the city. Thanos our guide was very accommodating and ‘flexed’ the walk to our requirement. The tour would benefit however from more structure & direction.
He did give us some excellent information about local restaurants and key places to see as a follow up.

Follow the footsteps of Apostle Paul
It is an amazing trip. Upon request 1 day before the walk, in addition to the usual tourist spot, our guide even showed us 2 churches that are related to the Apostle Paul's 2nd journey in his preaching to the Thessalonikian. That is indeed unbelievable and eye opening for any Christian.a

Comfortable shoes and water required.
We had a private tour. We met our guide about 1/2 mile from the port. There is a lot of walking…wear comfortable shoes. Our guide did a great job showing us different parts of Thessaloniki.

Big disappointment
Margarita was a sweet person who told us a lot about her experiences in Greece as a student from Russia. She seemed to know little Greek/Thessaloniki history and was clear about her lack of interest in archeology. Amazing for someone who was giving a tour of the city. It was particularly stunning in contrast to the Ammon tour guide the next day.
Operator response
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found Margarita to be a pleasant companion, but we sincerely apologize that her knowledge of Thessaloniki’s history and archaeology did not meet your expectations. While Lokafy focuses on personal stories and local life rather than academic tours, we agree that a basic understanding of a city’s significance is essential. We are reviewing this with our local team to ensure our guides are better prepared to represent the rich heritage of their cities, even within an informal format.

Amazing tour guide!
I enjoyed Tasos so much. His depth of knowledge and pride in the history of Thessaloniki was amazing. We traded WhatsApp addresses but now I can't find it. I was hoping to be able to thank him directly.

Wonderful walking tour of Thessaloniki!
Our guide, Vasilieos, was amazing, well informed, and so warm and welcoming. He constructed an excellent tour of the highlights of Thessaloniki, and customized the pace of the tour to the four of us. He also followed up afterwords with several restaurant suggestions!

Great Easter Sunday Walking Tour
Considering that it was Easter Sunday the schedule was challenging for what the activities we typically enjoy since many were closed. That’s our fault for not thinking ahead.
Our guide also had the challenge of following up our tour fromthe afternoon before which was great but more shopping, sightseeing, and food & drink tasting.
That sad, George did a remarkable job of filling our day with many activities that we could only have done on Easter Sunday.
We got to step into a couple Easter church services that were a real blessing for us. We found a great coffee shop in the afternoon that was delicious.
George was very knowledgeable about historical sites and smoothly paced us through many of the different period of Thessaloni history. We didn’t repeat anything from the day before and the tour - timing considered - was absolutely perfect.
George was timely in meeting us. Flexible with our schedule. Very gracious. Worked very hard to make the trip special.
We highly recommend this activity and George is a great asset to customizing the tour for you.

Excellent tour with Rita
This a wonderful tour and Margarita made it even better. We walked for hours, capturing the best viewing points of Thessaloniki. Rita also took us to one of the best-tasting food places in the city.
