Description
Most food tours keep you moving fast, gone before you've learned anything real. This one is different: a full progressive dinner across four stops in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and El Born, with a seat and real time at every one. Start with a vermouth ritual dating to 1967, move to a cheese tasting through four textures from small Catalan producers, then into a natural wine bar where the pours come with real stories attached. The evening finishes with a chef's-choice main course at a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide, plus dessert and a paired wine to close. No more than eight guests share the table.

Step into a family-run bodega tucked just off the Gothic Quarter for la hora del vermut, the Catalan vermouth hour. Sip house vermut on tap from Tarragona, served over ice with lemon, alongside house-salted anchovies, a gilda, and ensaladilla rusa.
Visit a cheese shop set inside a former 1920s butter workshop on Carrer de la Dagueria. Taste four Catalan artisan cheeses across four textures, fresh to aged, paired with a glass of cava from the Penedès.
Head into El Born for two seasonal dishes and two glasses of natural wine at a restaurant known for a list the staff can talk through glass by glass.
Finish the evening at a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide, where chef Armando Álvarez builds each night's menu around whatever the market delivered that day. Includes a main course with wine, then dessert with a dessert wine.

What a great guy Hector is. And very knowledgeable with spirited banter. also Hector has wonderful relationships with all of the restaurants and bars. He brings a certain joy to the tour. The rest of our trip will be better thanks to the guidance and insights Hector shared so glad we started this way.

We did the family walking tour with our 4 year old in the rain. You’d think that would’ve put a downer on the tour but our guide Luke adjusted the tour to make sure we had indoor options, explained things in ways that our daughter could understand, and injected the right amount of history along our tour. 10/10 recommend a Devour Tour.

Alex was both entertaining an knowledgeable. He gave us info that improved all of our subsequent Barcelona food experiences. I would recommend this tour on your first night in Barcelona. The small group of ~9 people was perfect. Wonderful talks and chats during the walks to the next restaurant. The food and wine was all delicious and they accommodated my pescatarian/vegetarian diet. A last minute restaurant change was no problem for Alex, who pivoted on the spot and brought us to yet another fantastic spot.
