The multi-award-winning Scotch Whisky Experience is located in the heart of Edinburgh's world heritage site, right next to Edinburgh Castle. A guided whisky tour plus a nosing and tasting of a Scotch whisky (or soft drink) at the old town's Scotch Whisky Experience. This tour includes: • Introduction to the aromas in whisky and Scotland's five whisky producing regions • The secrets of single malt Scotch whisky production • Your selected dram of Scotch whisky, or Irn Bru for those under 18 years of age • Viewing of one of the world's largest collections of Scotch whisky • Gift of crystal whisky tasting glass (adults and concessions only) • Audio guide available (20 languages)

Interesting tour, the guide was very informative and so were the visuals. However we only were allowed to taste one type of whiskey - we were under the impression that we would get a chance to try more. Also we were under the assumption that our kids would receive a special drink and treat but they just received one small bottle of Irn Bru. For the amount we paid we were expecting more of an experience.
Had no idea what to expect with this tour. I believed I knew enough about whisky to order the right drink in the local pub. How wrong I was. The lady who showed us around, really knew her stuff! Educated us on the process, answered all questions really well and was very knowledgeable. Great experience and extremely recommended
Very educational and affordable. We went on the Gold Tour. You got a lot for your money. Euan was very good and nice. Well worth a visit!

This was an incredible and immersive experience. The special effects were superb. Absolutely loved it. However, the experience was dampened by a toddler. Why the parents were allowed to bring children is beyond me. This should never have been allowed.
