Looking for an easy but delightful bicycle ride that everyone can do? The Paddy Trail is for you. We stick to local paths and quiet lanes on this 11km loop from your base near Yatagala Temple. Beautiful nature, exotic birds, indigenous wildlife, local life – you’ll see it all as you pedal through the Eluvila Bird Sanctuary and meander across the green paddy fields. One highlight is pausing in your private jungle garden. And sipping fresh king coconut under the shady ambalama by a pond of blue water lilies. Can you spot the mango, cashew, cinnamon, banana, jackfruit, calamansi, coconut and pepper trees and bushes?

Bicycles and helmets are provided for all. Our bicycles are lightweight, hardtail mountain bicycles but we also have ladies bikes, kids bikes , extra big bikes and small bikes.
We have lockers at Idle bikes HQ
We have a water fountain at the Idle bikes shed and we have a stop in a jungle garden where we have thambili (King coconuts) waiting. Your guide will cut them open for you.

Burn off your curry with a scenic ride in the countryside….amazing!
Amazing leisurely ride through authentic Sri Lanka. Great selection of bikes with very modern facilities. Lovely stop for a King Coconut on the way. Saw an super selection of bids, monkeys and traditional farmers.

The Paddy trail
Did a 26k tour of the area with our guide, he was very knowledgeable of the wildlife and the area. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They provide good bikes and quality helmets if you need them. Really great way to see the local area and wildlife.
