Our guide was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the area. We had a wonderful time! We would recommend.
What a great experience, thank you so much to Luís, an experienced guide who gave us more than one could expect, professional, kind, sensitive to nature, and very generous; we saw snakes, toucans, birds, the sloth, in short, a dream!!! Thanks to Eduardo the driver!
We really enjoyed this short 2 - 3 hour tour! It was our first time in La Fortuna, Costa Rica and we knew we needed to do this tour while we were there! We really enjoyed the walk and hanging bridges. Our tour guide Monica was very upbeat and knowledgeable about the creatures we saw there. We stopped at the right amount of times. I would say that it was a moderate hike that was nice to do with family. We 10/10 recommend this tour!!
My wife and kids (ages 7 and 9) and I all really enjoyed our Mistico Hanging Bridges tour. Our guide was Monica, and she was great--very friendly and knowledgeable! With her help, we saw two pit vipers, a motmot bird, monkeys, poison dart frogs, iguanas, a basilisk, a nesting hummingbird, a tarantula, and even a glass frog. Best of all, with her help we were able to get great pictures of all of these animals! Our tour was at 8am, but I was still sweating like crazy, so be sure to dress appropriately.
This tour left a lot to be desired. The location itself is amazing, but our guide, Carlos, made the experience disappointing. My wife was celebrating her 50th birthday and mentioned that seeing a toucan was at the top of her wish list. Carlos responded by calling her "caprichosa" (spoiled), which came across as rude and dismissive. We also booked an English tour, but it ended up being bilingual. While we understand Spanish, having every explanation repeated in two languages made the tour feel slow and repetitive. At one point, when we walked just a few steps ahead while waiting, Carlos called us "impatient," which we found unprofessional and insulting. He also seemed frustrated whenever we asked questions. Meanwhile, when our group was stopped on a bridge, he spent 10–15 minutes giving detailed travel advice to a family that wasn't even part of the paid tour, while those of us who had paid simply waited. Unfortunately, he didn't point out much wildlife, and by the end we found ourselves following other tour groups whose guides were enthusiastically spotting animals with telescopes and sharing fascinating facts about the rainforest. I regret paying for this tour. If I visit again, I'd skip the paid guided tour.
Great experience and we had an awesome guide! We saw dart frogs, spider monkeys, and a ton of other stuff. The bridges were great! Definitely recommend!
Our guide Danny was amazing. He showed us wildlife. We would’ve never seen on our own, was very sensitive to my fear of heights and made the tour enjoyable for everybody.
We had an excellent experience with Monica. Our car was right on time for pickup and we were a group of about 10-- Monica remembered all of our names within the first five minutes. She did a great job on the tour of spotting various animals and despite the heavy rain we managed to see a howler monkey, a sloth, an eyelash viper, a tarantula , and a tiny little poison dart frog. She was great with our kids and kept them engaged as well! We highly recommend using a tour for the Mistico hanging bridges, we definitely would not have seen all these animals on our own and we learned so much!
Well worth booking, you see so much more with a guide and it made transport so much easier. Danny was a great guide, very knowledgeable and a great dry sense of humour! He took great pictures for us using his scope so we came away with some fantastic photos. He and his driver also pulled over on the way home as they spotted some sloths in a tree. He again took some photos and video for us! So kind of them to do this outside of the tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide, Byron and Steven picked us up from our hotel and took us into the rainforest to experience this tour. Byron was very knowledgeable about the rainforest. We walked about 2+ miles and crossed over 7 hanging bridges. Each guide carried a spotting scope to see the creatures, you're able to take pics with your camera too. Make sure you look up, down, over, in, everywhere because there are critters everywhere. We saw monkeys, snakes, leaf cutters, owls, butterflies, and birds just to name a few. The bridges were beautiful to cross. If you're lucky there's a waterfall you can venture down to if the weather is favorable.
