Charlie had a magical way of keeping the group intimate despite it being a very busy, crowded day. His knowledge of art history was in-depth and worldly, yet never dry - he was a captivating storyteller who made what could have been an otherwise daunting experience feel completely manageable, and I learned so much. Great conversation throughout, and he made the whole group feel at ease with each other. He was also lovely and accommodating toward me and my service dog. I’d choose him as my guide again in a heartbeat. Despite booking last minute, Babylon Tours sent timely information and made the meeting point easy to find - the whole experience was accurate, seamless, and highly professional.
We had an amazing experience! I would highly recommend to anyone visiting New York. The Met is incredible, but could be overwhelming. Charlie covered so many areas. He shared his knowledge not o Lt of the art, but also of the Met itself and the rich history that has made it the iconic museum it is. He was engaging and shared stories about that made it all very relatable. Both me and my 13 year old daughter loved it!
A true highlight of our family trip to NYC. The Met is a must see and we are so glad we got to spend it with our guide Mark V. Knowledgeable, Energetic, Kind and Curious. Thank you to our introduction to Henry Tanner and Winslow Homer with such passion. What more could you ask for! Terry, Monique, Zoë, and Callie. P.S. Don’t forget John Brown was a Jayhawker :)
Our first time at the Met and I am glad we chose to go on a guided tour to get a good introduction to one of the world’s great art museums. One of the advantages of booking with this company is your tour size. Only had four people on our tour and I think the tour size limit is eight, so you aren’t going to be in a huge group trying to squeeze in to seeing the artwork. Price of tour includes the admission ticket. Our group’s guide was Charlie, who did a great job keeping us entertained and on our toes. Very knowledgeable about what we saw. We also got a great workout trying to keep up with his fast pace. LOL. Saw the museum highlights, which included the Temple of Dendur, Washington Crossing the Delaware, and the Impressionist rooms of the museum. The Met museum is huge and no one should expect a 2.5 hour tour to include everything. I would use this tour as a good introduction to the museum and then you can go back and see what interests you once the tour was done.
Mark V. was the perfect guide for us! He was energetic, informative, engaging and a lot of fun to spend a few hours with. He gave us an in depth, and most importantly relatable, exploration of The Met and we walked away having thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We randomly ran in to our kids who were doing a self-guided tour and he always took a minute to give them some "hey, you may not have seen this" attention. You can tell that he is well respected by the staff at the museum which makes getting in and around easier (you bypass some lines!) We will return to the Met on our own and continue our exploration with the information he gave us in our back pockets.
Our guide Mark was amazing…so glad we booked this experience! The tour was perfect…highly engaging and effective coverage of the MET.
The Met is overwhelming. I have been more than once, and walked out more than a little exasperated. Kevin was able to zone in what would be interesting to us and really make it come alive. It was amazing!!!!
Mark was our tour guide for the Met Museum. He was full of energy, knowledge, and focused on ensuring we got all of our questions answered. Time flew by as Mark shared insight after insight. We really appreciated his approach to sharing knowledge by weaving into effective storytelling.
Great communication before meeting in meet up location and check in was seamless. Cherie was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed her insights. Small group tour was a great way to get an overview of The Met with plenty of time to ask questions.
It was the best aviator museum guided tour I’ve ever had. Our guide picked up quickly that my 11year old grandchild has a serious interest in art and was not a newbie to art museums.
