Overall we enjoyed our day at The Ginger Factory, did everything available and got good value for money. The one thing we were disappointed with was the Zog experience in the forest. We tried without success to load the App on several phones. I returned to the Teception Desk and asked for assistance only to be informed that the App only worked with an Australian eSIM. Ours were purchased overseas and didn’t work. Our kids were extremely disappointed and I feel that this is a huge oversight on behalf of the operator. A large number of their visitors are being excluded by this issue and I am surprised that it hasn’t been sorted by now.
Great place for younger kids and adults. No need to book through 3rd party. Entrance free and pay for rides once you enter.
Very late in the day we arrived, the park was quiet, a ginger ice cream and ginger beer made a great spider, then a walk around to the boat ride where lots of Parents and kids delighted in the iconic ride in the boats. Our guide Ollie took us through the plant growing stage, reeled off all the facts, showed us the view over the vats of ginger soaking up its sugar glaze. We watched a short film on the history which was great. Out for a tasting g of various products then out the shop door armed with ginger bears.
Gorgeous Ginger Factory What a gorgeous establishment this is. It has so many different parts to it to offer the family. There is the gift shop, the food court, the playground, the train, the shops, the Zog walk, the hanging umbrella walk, the gardens, the plant marque, the boat ride, the bee display and lots lots more. We spent three hours here and just adored it. It was free to get in and then you just pay for what rides and experiences you want to do. Highly recommend and would return again if ever the opportunity.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review sd2606. We’re so glad to hear you adored your visit. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed exploring everything from the train and boat ride to the Zog Walk, gardens, playground, shops and more. There really is something for the whole family to discover. Thank you for your recommendation, we’d absolutely love to welcome you back again whenever you’re on the Sunshine Coast! 🧡🌈🚂
Having not been here for years I was surprised at how this small shop has grown. In a new location and way bigger than I knew. We stopped to buy some chocolate covered ginger and spent the entire afternoon. Bought a package ticket that included tours and rides. Enjoyed the bee talk, the factory tour and the Gingerbread Cookie boat ride. Tasty ginger scones, ginger beer and ginger and macadamia ice cream. We are two pensioners and a young couple and we enjoyed ourselves very much but definitely a place for younger children. Update Dec 25 Still a great pit stop. Took my grandsons on boat and train ride. Walked the Zog trail which was fun for us all.
Hi Jamoz thanks so much for your review. We agree, we're a beautiful hidden gem conveniently located off the Bruce Highway but with so much to see and do with plenty of free and ticketed offerings! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed so much at our park and hope you can visit again soon 🧡🚂🌈🐝🛟
Kids absolutely love it as they love the train and boat. Zogo they liked to find him. They loved the gingerbread man.
Hi Mary, thank you for sharing your experience! We're so thrilled you had an enjoyable day here at The Ginger Factory 🧡🚂
Every activity costs a lot of money, too expensive only went on the Zog walk and the gingerbread boat tour. Also bought a photo album too. They were so many other activities I couldn’t afford. How could you pay including the cost of living crisis

I recommend visits with tasting, the park being small, and the employees are very kind, the setting super friendly, well complete
Hi Departure08620372284, Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your experience with us. We're delighted to see you enjoyed your day out with us and hope to see you again soon!
Don’t go to see Santa. We usually love the Ginger factory & are on our second annual pass. However, I took my 5 & 7 year olds there to see Santa recently only to have the door shut in our faces as ‘Santa had finished for the day.’ He was still taking photos and the family before us were allowed in. There was NO other children waiting just my 2. No care or empathy shown, staff happy to leave 2 small children upset shouting ‘Santa is leaving.’ Would have taken 1 min to give them a picture. We had gone specifically to see Santa as we had the year before, dressed in their Christmas outfits & my 5 year old walking around with his Santa hat. No Christmas spirit shown at all. Very disappointing Ginger factory. You have lost some loyal customers.
Hi W2867XDgillianc, We are truly sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience during your recent visit. Santa is a free attraction at The Ginger Factory and this year he was very popular. Please know we can understand your frustration but unfortunately Santa was already late for his next engagement, and we could not keep him any longer. Thank you for reaching out we hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.
