Had a very informative and fun local tour with a great guide who kept us all entertained for the whole duration. Very enjoyable
Very informative and entertaining. The info is a bit grisly, but factual, and that's what we wanted - and it was presented in an entertaining way by Olly & Co. Even my 16yr old son enjoyed it, and he enjoys little at this age lol. Thanks guys!
Went on the Cloak and Dagger tour with a friend and we both loved it. Our guide Maggie is a fantastic storyteller — she doesn't just recite facts, she performs them, and her acting brought every stop to life. I learned so much about London's darker history that I'd never come across before, and the way she built the atmosphere and emotion into each story kept us hooked the whole way through. Well paced, well researched, and great fun. Highly recommended — and if you can, get Maggie as your guide. Well done!
We had a terrific tour with Maggie yesterday, as locals it was our first time doing a historic walking tour but it was really worth the time! Fascinating and disgusting details were shared…. some may say life changing… and perhaps it is, if you eat certain things, you might not anymore…. Maggie was a great story teller and her companion the peasant and the murderer/thief (sorry skilled worker) was fantastic and really funny too, they did make a great duo.
A brilliant evening, our guide Oliver was funny, friendly and informative, his team mate "Jane" was also excellent . The tour was about 2 hours, the pace of walking was steady not too fast. Learnt a lot! Overall excellent entertainment for the evening.
Such a fun and unusual way to see a different side of London! The Cloak and Dagger Tour is quirky, a little gruesome and completely different from the usual walking tours. We loved the mix of history, humour and theatre, with characters appearing along the way and bringing some of London’s darker and stranger stories to life. It was entertaining, interesting and definitely kept everyone engaged, including the teenagers.
What a wonderful tour! Mary was an amazing guide and had fabulous energy. Dont miss this tour. Best in London and way better than the bigger guys.
If you want a wildly fun, gritty, and completely unfiltered night out in London, book The Cloak and Dagger Tour immediately. You explore the historic Southwark underbelly along the Thames, uncovering dark history like public executions and medieval poverty around Southwark Cathedral, the Clink, and Winchester Palace ruins. What makes it spectacular is that real, grimy characters literally ambush you from dark alleys along the way! Do yourself a massive favor: brace yourself, leave your comfort zone behind, and cross your fingers that you get Mary as your guide. She is a total powerhouse, brilliantly unhinged, and hands down the best guide in the city!
Such a brilliant tour! Mary will teach you so much about Southwark's past, with lots of humour! She's amazing. You'll gain a much clearer understanding of how horrendous and disturbing some people's lives were back in the day. You'll honestly be so grateful you weren't been born back then. Gives you lots to think about. Totally worthwile!
A tale through the ages round Southwark. Gruesome, Gory, not for the faint of heart. People come to life, questions are encouraged and sometimes volunteers are required- but don’t worry everyone comes out alive having had their eyes opened. This was informative, and one of the best walking tours around - and it starts in and ends at the pub - what isn’t there to like about that! And not just any pub - you won’t see anything like this anywhere else.
