Each winery tour allows you to discover the fascinating story behind Castel Mimi and taste some of the best Moldavan wines. The winery tour includes a captivating walk through the chateau’s cellars, gardens, courtyard and the production area of the winery. The winery tour is concluded with guided wine tastings that will provide you with a great sensorial experience. All but one of our tours also includes a selection of traditional Moldovan, gourmet tasting dishes. In conclusion we can say that you will have a trip with a tasting of selected wines at one of the most refined wineries in the country - Castel Mimi. We will have a wonderful time here, in an atmosphere that is as authentic as it is modern. You will feel pampered by the intoxicating aromas of the wines!

Our road to Bulboaca village will last around 1 hour 15 minutes. We will visit the Castle MIMI Winery. The tour will start from the entrance to the inner courtyard of the castle which is beautifully decorated with lawns, decorative shrubs, mazes, wine barrels used as decoration, a musical fountain that changes its colors and gushes from the floor. After you will visit the historical wine cellars, the wine production area, and the middle age garden and hedge maze.
Time for wine tasting. You have to taste 5 amazing Castel Mimi wines. Also taste 7 traditional Moldovan and gourmet food appetizers: gravlax salmon with black bread, tomme cheese handmade with pear, pâté with almond rye cracker, mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and olives, and roast beef with wine sauce.
The road back to Chisinau will last around 1 hour.

Highly recommended
Castel Mimi is a very beautiful place that combines ancient and modern architecture. It was restored just under two decades ago, and its wine production was redesigned. The tour is extensive and comprehensive, and you can see the bottles signed by the leaders of the European Political Community, who held their second summit there in 2023. The tasting was fair, extensive, and accompanied by delicious snacks well thought out for each wine.
On the other hand, the driver was very attentive, professional, and kind.

When I first booked, the lack of communication bothered me. It did get better and the driver to the actual tour site was very good.

Visit Moldova
A great trip. I was collected from my hotel in central Chisinau. My driver and guide was excellent: he was very knowledgable about Molvova, and so the journey to Castle Mimi was very enjoyable. It is really important to have guides who know the local scene, and my driver was excellent.
Castle Mimi is a great destination visit if you are interested in wine. Because of local circumstances, I had a personal tour around the winery, and it finished with a tasting of five wines.
All round an excellent experience.

Highly Recommend! Moldova Tours operator had great WhatsApp communication and pickup flexibility, our driver Alexander was amazing and spoke good English, the Mimi Castel tour and paired wine tasting was fascinating, delicious and unrushed.

Good tour. Slava was my...
Good tour. Slava was my guide. Spoke very good English. He was knowledgeable about touristy things (dates, facts, etc) but also open to share about life in Moldova. He was also a safe and attentive driver. The tour at MIMI was given by an employee of the winery. Very polished. Good wines paired with interesting snacks. Recommend going when warmer to enjoy the fountain (closed over the winter) and outdoor areas.

Full experience around Chisinau finishing with an amazing tasting
This tour was amazing experience with Slava, he showed us all the iconic places from Chisinau, walking around telling us all the historic moments of each place. Finishing the tour at the Castle Mimi winery, all the history behind this beautiful castle and finishing with a delicious tasting of 5 types of wine and different snacks perfect for each wine. We really enjoyed the experience and the car had heating in the seats, something, that for winter, we really appreciated it.
