Beers with a good cobber.
A fun visit to the Lower East Side. Ben was a local from the area and knows it well. As it turned out my wife and I were the only tourists so it was more like catching up with a fellow countryman. We had few quiet beers, visited 3 bars/pub, had a quality burger and a great chat. Plenty of interesting history of the area, particularly McSorley's. Highly recommend this tour.

Awesome tour
This was an awesome and fun tour. It was especially great hearing about the history of McSorley’s. Ben was knowledgeable and was very engaging. He shared his love of food and drink. Provided several moments of laughter that made the whole experience great. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a view into NYC not found in Times Square.

Worth it
Walked to several historical bars/taverns, received a burger and chicken sandwich. Host is a foodie that has great stories to tell about NYC.

Amazing NYC experience
Ben’s tour was fantastic! As a local, Ben took us to interesting and memorable places that we’d never been to before. The food was delicious, the beers were tasty, and the laughs were full bellied. We would absolutely recommend this experience to others.

BEST THING WE DID IN NYC!!!!!!
The best thing we did in NYC!!! This was so much fun and highly recommend. Ben was so knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. He really knows his way around the food scene and kept us laughing and talking. The food was great but the overall experience was unforgettable! I want to do it again and try his other tours next time I’m in NYC. Thanks Ben for a great time!

Great if you have nothing else to do - but wouldn't plan my day around it.
While the host was great, the tour was very average. We only sat down in 2 locations and only 1 beer. While it was good, I wouldn't recommend it. The host and company were fantastic, this is not a reflection on him. Only on the fact that you really aren't experiencing anything memorable. 2 joints and a burger to go.
Operator response
Hi Michelle, sorry to hear you didn't have as good a time as all of our other guests did. However if you recall correctly we actually sat down in 3 bars, we ate a burger and a chicken sandwich from 2 local restaurants, and we enjoyed drinks at each of the bars - the first of which we paid for as explained on the tour web page. We also find the oldest bar in New York (that we enjoyed the complimentary drink from) quite memorable too!
I appreciate the kind words about the host (me!) being so great though.
