Teotihuacan Tour with Transportation & Food (PRIVATE/SHARED)

The tour of the pyramids was the highlight of our trip to CDMX. We went on New Year's Day and had no traffic. It was basically an Uber driver who picked us up and drove us there. We got there relatively quickly (40 minutes) and met with our guide who spoke English. I sometimes had a hard time understanding him, but he was very friendly and knowledgable. The pyramids are absolutely incredible. You should not miss them. Although you cannot climb up the Pyramid of the Sun, you can on the Pyramid of the Moon, and the view is amazing. Don't miss doing that! There are a lot of vendors between the two pyramids, but not really in an annoying way. I liked some of the items they were selling and bought a magnet that I really liked and seemed like good quality. After the tour, we were taken to a restaurant where we ordered and got served the best food on our trip. The tortilla soup was probably the best I've ever had and the mole was also fantastic. My family ordered various other things and everything was delicious. Definitely go with the tour that includes the lunch. I was so happy we did that instead of the cave lunch I originally wanted. Although it would have been cool to see the cave, I cannot imagine the food being better than what we were served on this tour. Also, the cook was a lovely woman who handmade everything herself. Great experience. Don't hesitate to book this tour!

We were picked up at our hotel by Roberto, who was a terrific driver and knew how to avoid traffic. Ruben was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable enthusiastic, and friendly. I think Teotihuacan is an essential stop for anyone in the CDMX area. It's a beautiful and special place.

My girlfriend and I booked a 10:30 small group tour. Since we were the only ones during that time slot, we had a private car ride from Roberto to and from the pyramids, a wonderful private tour given by Ruben, and a private meal at a restaurant. We really enjoyed ourselves and having the entire tour to ourselves was a great surprise! Ruben was an excellent tour guide and he made our time at the pyramids very special. The food and cold beers after being in the sun was perfect, too. I think we would have liked to skip the tequila tasting and artesenal market and would have liked to shop at the markets in town, but we did learn quite a bit about the agave plant and obsidian.

Ruben was very passionate and knowledgeable about the ruins and their history. We learned a lot and really enjoyed the pulque he shared with us at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!
