Amazing experience! Only downfall was we were picked up at gas station and taken to the actual balloon place. Overall well worth trying and unforgettable!
The Balloon Ride ended with a horrible crash landing. They had no medical assistance at the balloon sight or at the main office site... In fact, I was told they didn't even have an ice pack. No one asked about me... or checked in. I reported the issue, and I was told, 'Yes, we've reported it', and then she left the desk to go into the back. I contacted trip advisor and sent them the details. Trip Advisor reported back to me that everyone there spoke english, and everyone reported I was fine. No refund, no apology.., nothing.
Dear Brian, We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the way the situation was handled following your balloon landing. We take any concern involving the safety and well-being of our guests seriously, and after receiving your complaint, we reviewed what occurred with the balloon operator and the team involved in the rest of your experience. We would, however, like to provide some additional context, as the information reported to us by the staff present that day differs in some respects from the account in this review. The balloon operator confirmed that the landing was firmer than usual and that you reported discomfort in your leg afterward. According to the staff, you were attended to and indicated at that time that you were okay, although you requested ice for the affected area. We are sorry that the assistance provided at that moment did not make you feel adequately cared for. Following the balloon flight, you continued with the scheduled breakfast and subsequently participated in the guided walking tour of the Teotihuacan archaeological site. You also informed your guide about the discomfort in your leg, but you continued with the scheduled activities and did not request medical attention or ask to discontinue the tour. We mention this only to provide the complete context of the day, not to minimize the bruising or discomfort you experienced. Based on what was communicated to our staff at the time, together with your decision to continue with the itinerary, our team had no indication that emergency medical assistance was required. Regarding communication, the balloon operator does have English-speaking staff. Nevertheless, we recognize that during an unexpected situation it is especially important that a guest feels clearly understood and supported, and we have shared your comments with the operator. We also understand your disappointment regarding the lack of a refund. However, the flight and the subsequent services included in your reservation were provided and completed. Based on the circumstances reported to us, a full refund was therefore not considered applicable. That said, we sincerely regret that the post-landing attention did not meet your expectations. Your feedback has been taken seriously and has been shared with the balloon operator so that communication and post-landing assistance can be reviewed and improved. We appreciate the opportunity to provide the full context surrounding your experience.
Such an amazing experience! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic day! The road closures in CDMX caused some delays, so they let us have a private balloon. Our guide was amazing and so was breakfast at the local restaurant!
Very good! can be also dangerous! We had a bad landing due to wind and hurt our knees! Luckily no more sincere injuries! Need to have some first aid and baskets not to be overcrowded as we hit to each other while landing!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the rough landing and the discomfort you experienced. Safety is our top priority, and we take situations like this very seriously. We also appreciate your suggestions. Your feedback is valuable and helps us continue improving our safety measures and overall experience. If you’d like to share more details or if there’s anything we can assist you with, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
The balloon ride over the Teotihuacan pyramids was a magical moment. We continued our day with a visit to the pyramids accompanied by an exciting guide. The organization was perfect. Breakfast, too.
The best thing about the whole tour is the balloon trip, it is a beautiful experience worth every peso spent, it is also very good option to buy the package of video and photos
Wonderful to have a Birds Eye view of the pyramids. Very well organised experience, with lovely staff taking care of things. We opted for breakfast at the local restaurant which was part of our package. Very nice breakfast, the owner who also looked after us at the balloon depot gave us the history of the pyramids which was very informative
Great balloon ride experience as well as guided visit to the Teotihuacan pyramids, the balloon ride is incredible, it’s a must do activity while visiting CDMX, and the pyramids archeological site is breathtaking, all the history and wonders of this ancient civilization makes you understand Mexican history, culture and heritage, Ruben is a great experienced guide, very knowledgeable and friendly, we loved this tour, highly recommended!
Beautiful early morning views of the pyramids from the sky. Chilly at 5am, so layer up, because it gets warm by mid morning. Pickup at my hotel was easy and the ride from Polanco was about an hour to the "balloon-port". I was flying solo this trip, so it was just me and the driver in his sedan, and the driver spent the entire day "on call", shuttling me to the balloons, on to the restaurant, to the pyramid parking, and ultimately back to my hotel. He wasn't the guide - that was someone else that I met at the balloon-port who actually guided me through the experience, including the walking tour of the pyramids. Lovely balloon time - about 100 balloons in the air on a Saturday morning, so there was a lot going on, but it was really beautiful and you can't beat a sunrise view from the sky. Great overhead view of the historical site and surrounding land. Breakfast at a local place was simple and tasty (I love chilaquiles). Ended up hanging around waiting after my meal for nearly an hour as the guide for the walking tour was waiting for a few more people to come out from the city to meet up. (This waiting is why I only gave 4 stars). Guide handled tickets for the pyramid park, was knowledgeable, and had talking aids like maps and photographs. We spent a couple of hours walking the pyramids: make sure to wear comfortable shoes and expect a lot of walking on gravel and some steep stairs. I was expecting the end to end to be 5-6 hours, but it was tracking to 8+ hours, so I asked to cut my portion a little short to get back into town. (5a pickup, thought i'd be back by 11a, barely made it back by 1p)
We absolutely love this as it is the best way to sew the Pyramids without spening hours walking, especially for those with mobility challenges. We did learn that the transportation option is probably best as 3 Uber drivers canceled on us as fewer drivers were available that early in the morning. Excellent communication from the tour operators!
Hi John, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review. We are glad to hear that you had such a positive experience with us. We’re also very sorry that you experienced difficulties finding an Uber in the morning. We definitely recommend our transportation service for a stress-free and timely arrival. We look forward to welcoming you on another adventure. Best regards
