Tenorio River Class III & IV White Water Rafting

Our rafting trip was class 2 and 3 rapids in La Fortuna region. Our guide, Pablo, was excellent: enthusiastic a great paddler, knowledgeable, and fun.

We booked our excursion with BlueSkyPrivateTours! Carlos was amazing to set up this adventure and make it so memorable. We have a family of six children with our youngest only 8 years old. We have been white water rafting before but this was incredible. Yeiner and WJ (Jr) were our guides. They knew the river well and helped us to have a safe and exhilarating memory.

This was a great experience and our guides were very helpful. We went during the dry season so the water level was low and a slower current. I would like to experience this during the rainy season because the water current and drops would be more exciting. The first part of the rafting was almost like kayaking since the water was so calm. We did experience a cool drop off toward the end of the trip. Please listen to the guides instructions so you don't get stuck on the rocks or flip over.

Making reservation was easy! We stopped here for the rafting on the way from Monteverde Cloud Forest to Playa Grande and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. When we arrived the staff was so friendly & helpful. The rafting was amazing, a good mix between strong rapids and calm waters. Plenty of places to get out and swim. The water was warm and very clean. The wildlife was awesome and the scenery was beautiful. Our guide, Jason, made the trip! I highly recommend him. He was funny and enthusiastic. Also very knowledgeable about the surroundings. There were places to jump off rocks and one huge drop (terminator) that was so fun. Staff was very knowledgeable and we all felt safe in their hands! A must do for your Costa Rica trip 😀!! Jason was numero uno Captain!

Easy booking through Viator, transportation to and from our hotel, and a surprisingly good lunch included. Daniel our guide was fantastic and the rafting was sooo much fun! Would definitely repeat and highly recommended.

Great trip all around. Large group of high school kids from the US (NC & VA). The guides were instructive and safe but also able to make it a fun experience for everyone. Juan, Alison and others made the excursion a huge success. Heard several comments that it was the best part of our CR trip!

What an AMMAZING experience! Bothmy husband and I's first time white water rafting and had an EPIC experience. Juan the tour guide- was AMAZING. So knowledgable of the river and the surroundings. We feel ultra special as we spotted 5 RED Macaws- an almost extinct/perished bird in CR, bringing tears of joy to the locals with us. The drops are SOOO fun! and I felt safe all along the way. Simple rule- LISTEN to the TOUR GUIDE. He knows! got to listen.

Went on this rafting tour on March 10, 2020. Our rafting guide was Allison, who is one of only three female rafting guides in Costa Rica. Her father is a rafting guide on this tour also. She was excellent and stronger than most of the male guides. Our raft never flipped over unlike 3 other rafts on our tour. During the raft tour was able to see monkeys, hawks, magpies and fish. Great fun overall.

My family and I wanted to experience a level 3 and 4 white water river rafting. We are from Tampa, Florida, and traveled to Tennessee for our level 1 and 2 rafting. We were recommended Jacamar Tours by the hotel Tobacon, which we were staying at. There was a long drive there, but Frank and Chris entertained us the whole way. We talked about everything (schools, jobs, costa rican history/facts, etc.). When we arrived at our river, Chris gave us all the safety equipment and taught us the moves to get through the river. The sights were beautiful, amazing pictures were taken, and tons of fun was had. They even let us stop halfway and offered us fruit (watermelon and pineapple) and let us jump in the water. After we finished, we changed and went to a lovely farm restaurant where we had fish and pork chops (it is different all the time) which was amazing! The whole experience was amazing, and I can’t wait to go back again! 10/10 for Chris and Frank!! Muy Bien!!
