Teide by Night: Sunset and Stargazing with Telescopes Experience

Fantastic experience. We have done tours up Teide before and this exceeded them all. Lovely to have to stop near Vilaflor for a coffee, and the stop in the crater was incredible. Food was nice, and well catered to allergens. One of the best excursions we have ever done - sunset over the clouds was magical as was the stargazing. My only criticism was the place we stargazed had frequent cars passing, so the darkness was frequently interrupted. When we have done tours before we had a much more protected area without disruption. It would also have been nice to have 10 minutes just to relax and watch the stars after the interesting constellation talk and telescopes. In all a magic trip, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

We were picked up from meeting spot on time and coach very modern good air con . Guide amazing from start Jasper so knowledgeable. First stop Vilaflor nice cafe with coffe cakes ice creams . Then a stop in landscape great to see walk . Dinner then not bad pumpkin soup schnitzel veg potatoes Choclate mouse lots of drinks on table wine water coke fanta . Off to sunset which was good but unfortunately a bit hazy . Then toilet stop and star gazing which was best japer so knowledgeable stars amazing . Then telescope stop amazing and back at drop off for just after 11.30 . The only reason not give the pick up not from hotel we stayed at med place but pick up 10 mins walk away at best Tenerife not sure why could not be nearer when it was for others . Also short toliet stop 30 mins felt to long . Overall though good trip

We had an absolutely incredible experience on the Teide by Night tour with our fantastic tour guide, Nico. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised. We were picked up promptly from our sister hotel, Princess Inspire Tenerife, and the coach was very comfortable, making the journey relaxing and enjoyable. Nico was amazing – extremely informative, knowledgeable, and happy to answer every question throughout the trip. The food was also really good and added to the overall experience. The highlight of the evening was definitely watching the sunset above the clouds. It was absolutely phenomenal and unlike anything I have ever experienced before – truly breathtaking! The stargazing was equally incredible and is an absolute must. Seeing the colours of the stars so clearly in one of the best places on the planet for stargazing was something we will never forget. 10/10 – we would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Tenerife. We can't wait to come back and experience it all over again! 🌅✨⭐️

Around 3:00 PM I was picked up from the north. The guide Pepe had a nice story everywhere so that you learned more about the island. Stops everywhere to walk and enjoy the view. The food was good, but it was very busy, but it was arranged well and efficiently. The sunset was beautiful and the stars are looking too. Also here again an explanation about the stars. Looking through the telescope was breathtaking to see. If you are in Tenerife, then skip this.

Wow , just Wow . The most wonderfully experienced of our time in Tenerife, from the moment we were picked up , Jesper our guide was a wealth of knowledge and a real gem of a host . Meal was great all staff were very welcoming and professional. Star gazing was immense, and yet again talked through everything we seen and were using with a great passion for the subject. Highly recommended 10/10

We recently did this with our 3 kids (14, 12 and 9). The 9 year old was fine on the long journey and enjoyed the sunset and star gazing. My only complaint was the food. My kids were all offered the same 3 courses as us (pumpkin soup, chicken, veg and potatoes followed by chocolate mousse. I asked could my youngest have a kids meal instead and they said the restaurant does not cook chips!!! When we arrived we watched one of the waiters bring out a plate of chips. I offered to pay for the chips but they still wouldn't entertain it. My sister in law had been the week before and had told me her son had pizza and chips so I knew they were blatantly lying to me which put a dampener on the night.

This was a fantastic experience. Coach pick up was smooth then we went to nice coffee shop for drinks and ice cream. We had few stops for pictures. Then we went to Papillon restaurant for meal. Then sunset watching and then star gazing through telescopes and then we had time with our guide Elena who showed us constellations and shared interesting things about night sky. Then back to hotels . Tour was very well organised. Our driver Ruben was great and very friendly, our guide Elena was fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Shared many interesting facts about island, Teide national park and Mount Teide. Only disappointing thing was meal at Papillon restaurant desk. Vegetable soup and dessert were ok, but main meal was bad. Chicken snitzel like thing was frozen from supermarket and then put to oven or something like that. Was edible but not good at all. There was only one set menu. At restaurant was around hundred people but everything was well organised. At booking was no option without meal. My suggestion is it should be like three set menus to choose from. Only option was chicken or vegetable lasagna for vegetarian/vegans. Star gazing was the best experience. That night sky is the best place to see stars you can find as no clouds (they are below where you are) and no light pollution. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing! Completely worth the money, we had an amazing day and even more spectacular evening with the incredible Jasper/ Jesper (sorry, don't know the spelling!) who was simply amazing - so friendly, knowledgeable and made the evening truly spectacular. Our coach driver was also incredible. Fantastic stops to see the amazing views and landscapes, amazing dinner with large portions included, and the stargazing and telescopes really were incredible. Remember to bring a jacket as it can get chilly even in August! Seeing the sunset was a remarkable experience. I really recommend. If booking via TUI, don't forget to book via the TUI app for a 10% discount. One thing that could be better - the pickup location is quite some way from TUI BLUE Atlantic Hills - it would be nice if it could have been a direct pick up from the hotel. I also wouldn't recommend this for children - it is definitely an adults trip. Definitely the best trip we've ever done - thank you!

What an amazing experience this trip was for all of our family! In our opinion it was well worth the money that we paid for it, it was a full 8 hour excursion. We got picked up just up the road from our hotel at 3.30pm and got back at around 1.15am! Alvusto (probably spelt that wrong!), our driver was amazing on the tiny roads up to the national park and Helena our guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. I’d read some poor reviews about the restaurant but we had no complaints, the food was quite ok, I was expecting worse after what I’d read but we thought it was alright. We honestly do not have a negative comment to make on this trip, there was lots of stops, gorgeous views and it felt so surreal! We were up there on the night of the solar eclipse too which made it even more special. The stargazing…… we’ve never seen anything like it!! Definitely one we’d all recommend! 🌋✨🔭

An Unforgettable Experience Teide by Night was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience! 🌋✨ Our host, Isabelle, was absolutely fabulous — incredibly knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and such a lovely person. She made the whole experience even more special with her stories and insights. Our driver was also one of the best! Excellent driving throughout, making us feel safe and comfortable as we travelled up and back down the mountain. A truly wonderful evening from start to finish. I would highly recommend Teide by Night to anyone visiting Tenerife. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
