Tasting Gourmet

We had a lovely time at La Comptoir de la Cité. Really generous 9 different wines with a yummy meat and cheese board. Would recommend to anyone interested in local wines.

We didn’t make it because we followed the walking route on my phone from our hotel and it took us everywhere but to the address indicated. After 45 minutes of trying to find it the event was 1/2 over.

A good range of French wines offered, with choices, plus a tasty accompanying platter of nibbles.

Excellent evening with very competent & charming host Anna. Comprehensive description of all choices of wine & very nice platter of meats, cheeses, nuts, grapes to complement the wines all under the walls of the old cite of Carcassonne.

What a fantastic afternoon! Lovely setting for wine tasting. We opted for the 9 different wines with the charcuterie board. Had a discount code which made it exceptional value for money. The lady explaining the wines was very good at explaining the different choices - 3 white, 3 rose and 3 red. We spent a good 2 hours sitting outside on a beautiful sunny afternoon. Highly recommend this to anyone thinking about booking this experience.

I can highly recommend this local wine collective. Excellent regionally produced wines, very good value, in a beautiful setting. We chose the 9 wine course (a choice of 3 whites, roses, reds) with an accompanying charcuterie which was excellent value at €30. Our host (Anna) was hospitable, knowledgeable and is fluent in English (helpful as my French is poor!).

What a fantastic experience and fabulous value for money. As it turned out we were the only 2 for our booking, so it was our own private wine tasting with the lovely Alicia. We tasted 3 whites, 3 rose and red 3 red wines. All delicious and local to the region. We had to choose which 3 wines for each colour from a selection of 5 which Alicia explained to us. We could thus taste wines which we preferred eg dry or fruity or lighter or more robust, All of this was accompanied by a superb plate of local cheeses and charcuterie with fresh crusty bread. Alicia was personable and knowledgeable and the wines and food top notch . We cannot recommend it enough Gary & Julie Pick

Great value. Well worth the experience.

We were lucky enough to be the only 2 in the group. Therefore the most glorious tastes and explanations with matching wines to our tapas. Super chilled time.

Very enjoyable - the young lady (I’m sorry we didn’t get your name) who hosted our tasting was so lovely. She was really friendly and clearly knew her subject well - we found it very interesting. The food platter was delicious too. I don’t eat meat and they were happy to prepare me a meat-free version with extra cheese and fruit. Definitely recommend.
