FOOD STOP! Get ready, explorers! We're diving headfirst into the labyrinthine wonders of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter think winding medieval streets so charming they'll make you want to ditch Google Maps and get delightfully lost, and hidden squares just begging to be Instagrammed. After we've soaked up enough culture to make our brains feel like tiny, sophisticated berets, we'll sashay our way to La Rambla, Barcelona's legendary people-watching paradise. But the real pièce de résistance? A time warp to a 165-year-old Modernista Pastisseria! This family-run sweet shop is basically a delicious museum you can eat from. Everything's handmade, baked fresh daily, and so artfully decorated it's almost too pretty to devour (almost!). We'll even get to try a traditional Catalan pastry, a treat with a 600-year-old history – but you'll have to wait 'til the end of the tour to sink your teeth into this ancient yumminess. The suspense is killing you, right? (Don't worry, it's killing us too!)
A cozy 75-year-old, family-run Catalan tavern will be our last food stop. At this point on your food and history tour, we will have a fun surprise (trust me when I say you will enjoy it immensely). Hint: it involves wine and of course, incredible food! Not to mention that you will also explore fantastic 75-year-old hidden family-run taverns. you will get to try your luck with our traditional Catalan Porron and three food tasting. We believe that the best way to get to a city and the people is through food. Adrian was punctual, entertaining and very knowledgeable about the Gothic Quarters. We had fun meandering through the quaint and narrow streets and shown the various specialty shops. For tapas we visited 4 shops - 1. tasted turron in Vicens, 2. Two tapas and 1 Clara in the second place, 3. shared wine, fried sardines and cheese and tomato salad at the third and 4. wine, jamon and cheese Will recommend it to anyone who wants to spend 3 delightful hours sampling tapas while getting an introduction to the Gothic Quarters.

The food on this tour is incredible! Great bites to eat and drinks at four different stops. Along with the history of the city, you get to know the streets and landmarks along the way. I only wish they would add ~15-10 min. onto the tour as a whole to have time for shopping in the market, as by the time the tour is over, the market is closed.

This was a truly amazing food tour! Our guide was so knowledgeable and brought us on 3 stops to stop/sit and eat, plus La Boqueria Market! We went to eat, tapas, wine, meat, cheese, and more. One of my favorite stops was to stand only shop, that only serves three things, including crispy fresh fried sardines. This was the place that Anthony Bourdain used to go to. Truly was wonderful gastronomic and historical experience!

As other reviewers have said, this is a wonderful introduction to both history and food in Barcelona. I would highly recommend this on your first day touring the city. Adrian did an amazing job of explaining both history and food, and we had plenty of tasty snacks and drinks along the way. As a solo traveler, this was a great tour and we went to places I would have never found on my own. I was especially impressed with his integrity. There was supposed to be a group joining our tour, but their plane was stuck in London. He went ahead and did the tour with just two of us, which made the experience even more impactful.

Adrian provided a brief tour of Mercat de Boqueria and the Gothic Quarter. The tapas tastings were good and provided some interesting stops I wouldn't have experienced on my own. He provided some anecdotal history of the food and a bit of city history.

Great tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting, the food variety was good and tasted really good. It was just the right length and right mix of history, local culture, and good food.
Great tastings of various tapas, sweets and drinks. Our guide, Adrian, was also very knowledgeable about the different sections of old town Barcelona. Part of our group was delayed and instead of cancelling us or making us switch to another time or date, Adrian gave my husband and I a private tour. He was worth his weight in gold! Highly recommend this tour!
