This tour was super nice! Luis was a great guide and super knowledgeable about the gastronomic scene in Spain. He also knew a lot about the historical and cultural influences surrounding the tapas we tried. Super neat and would recommend!

Calderón de la Barca was born in Madrid, where he spent most of his life. During his life, he served as soldier and he was a Roman Catholic priest. Born when the Spanish Golden Age theatre was being defined by Lope de Vega, he developed it further, his work being regarded as the culmination of the Spanish Baroque theatre. As such, he is regarded as one of Spain's foremost dramatists and one of the finest playwrights of world literature.[
he Puerta del Sol (English: "Gate of the Sun") is a public square in Madrid, one of the best known and busiest places in the city. This is the centre (Km 0) of the radial network of Spanish roads. The statue is a work of the sculptor Antonio Navarro Santafé [es] (1906-1983) and it was inaugurated on 19 January 1967. It was promoted by the section of Culture of the City council of Madrid, which wanted to represent the main heraldic symbols of the city in a monument.
The Plaza Mayor (English: Town square) is a major public space in the heart of Madrid, the capital of Spain. It was once the centre of Old Madrid. It was first built (1580–1619) during the reign of Philip III. Only a few blocks away is another famous plaza, the Puerta del Sol.
Plaza de Santa Ana (English: Saint Anne Square) is a plaza located in central Madrid, Spain, nearby Puerta del Sol and Calle de Huertas, in the Barrio de las Letras. It features monuments to Spanish Golden Age writer Pedro Calderón de la Barca and to the poet and playwright Federico García Lorca and numerous restaurants, cafes and tapas bars, with its terraces covering most of the sides surfaces.

Though the guide was personable, very little information on food and drink was given. The cost of the experience was $80 per person, but the amount spent on tapas and drinks, was $30 a person at the most. Save your money, because there was no additional benefit from paying the guide.
The tapas tour was awesome! It provides a good range of delicious tapas. A must for anyone looking for a great culinary experience in Madrid!
