Tanzania Luxury Safari

We were extremely lucky to have amazing drivers who were experienced in our game drives . We managed to see the big 5 with multiple close encounters as well as have front views to the migration of the wildebeasts and zebra across the Mara river. Highly satisfied!

We chose Savannah Explorers after receiving several quotes, but theirs perfectly met our requests to see the migration, experience the Serengeti, visit Tarangire and Ngorongoro, and learn about the local culture with a 10-year-old child, for which we needed a guide who spoke Italian well. A huge added value was the people from Savannah that we had the pleasure of meeting: Anderson who organized the safari and Babuu who was our guide during the safari. Anderson was truly professional and available to organize, modify a thousand times, integrate, and explain the program, always ready both via email and via WhatsApp; we had the pleasure of meeting him in person in Arusha the day before leaving and during the 6 days of the safari he asked us several times if everything was going well and he continued to take care of the details during the trip. Babuu (Filbert) was a guide who exceeded all our expectations; in addition to having infinite experience and knowledge of the territory and the animals which allowed us to enjoy the safari to the fullest, he speaks Italian perfectly, was pleasant company, always cheerful, patient, ready to help colleagues in difficulty, taught us a thousand things, never rushed us, and accommodated us when we wanted to include an additional activity (Olduvai Gorge). Let's get to the safari, wonderful: we left on 8/2 and returned on 8/7 to Arusha, we visited Tarangire, slept at the Escarpment with a view of Lake Manyara even without visiting the park, then we headed to Serengeti and slept at the Nyota the second and fourth night, the third night instead we slept in the north at the Enkutoto to be able to have more chances to see the Mara crossing, and in fact we were able to admire it both days, a dream that came true. We then returned south and visited Ngorongoro after sleeping at the Naserian. The organization and management of the safari were perfect for maximizing time inside the parks (the passes are valid for 24 hours so you must leave at the same time you entered), we always ate in the picnic areas with lunch prepared by the camps where we had slept the night before. The jeep was super equipped, plenty of room to store luggage and useful items during the trip and with the possibility of recharging phones and cameras. It was an unforgettable safari, everything was perfect and I can only recommend Savannah Explorers for your safari.

A nice safari with a very serious agency. Wonderful and perfect lodges (Elephant Spring and Orango River are superlative), so a super choice, as was Anderson who assisted us in organizing the trip. However, having booked a 5-day luxury safari and therefore having spent a very high amount, we would have expected an adequate level of guide. Ours tried as best she could but was clearly too young and inexperienced! With terrible Italian, it would have been better to have one with good English instead. This should not happen for a safari where you expect a high level. We saw several animals but mostly sleeping, no action taking place as we would have expected in a wild environment. We caught a glimpse of a leopard's head in the distance (a shame because we really wanted to see one), two rhinoceroses sleeping in the distance on the grass, a family of cheetahs sleeping under a tree, and many lions and obviously many other animals. I cannot say if we were unlucky or if our guides were not up to the task. However, overall it went well. The only regret is not having planned a safari to see the great migration.

We could not have chosen a better agency for our safari. From the very beginning, everything was organized perfectly with professionalism, attention to detail, and impeccable organization that allowed us to experience this adventure without any worries. A truly special thanks goes to Richard, our guide. It made this trip unforgettable. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable and professional, he is a kind, helpful, and always smiling person. Thanks to his experience, we were able to see many animals and he helped us discover Tanzania through the eyes of someone who truly loves it, sharing curiosities, traditions, and aspects of the local culture that enriched each day. Richard was not just a guide, but a true travel companion. We always felt safe, heard, and welcomed with great warmth. We could not have had a better guide. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our honeymoon a experience that we will carry in our hearts forever. We recommend this experience to everyone.

A dream trip, truly. We stayed in their facilities in Arusha, Karatu, and Serengeti (Orangi Lodge). What can I say? Each one more beautiful than the last, very large and very clean rooms, friendly staff available for all our needs, excellent food, even for picnics inside the parks. Special note for our guide Mudi, an excellent driver and a fantastic travel companion.

Savannah is a very good travel agency — it offers competitive prices, also has WeChat customer service for Chinese tourists, and has a great team of guides. Isaac is an excellent guide: friendly, reliable, hardworking, and a very steady driver. He understood our needs, and we are truly grateful that with his help we saw so many animals — three leopards, ten rhinos, as well as many lions and cheetahs. We basically saw almost every animal! We really wish Isaac all the best in his future work, and we hope you will be our guide again the next time we come to Tanzania.

Amazing week, visited Tarangire park, Manyara park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We had the chance to spot the big five with our great guide and driver John. We saw so many animals, lions, hyenas, elephants, zebras, giraffes, leopards, wild cats, baby animals… the list goes on. The natures varied much from each place and everytime we were left without words. Just beautiful. The trip was well organized and the logdes were top. Friendly staff everywhere. We would love to come back.

The 5-day safari took in all the most important national parks in Tanzania: Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro...to discover the big5!! Our guide Moody (who speaks great Italian!) has always been courteous and attentive to our every request, professional and with a high driving experience always ensuring safety, cleanliness, versatility and maximum comfort!! We dived into the Tanzanian savannahs with extreme enthusiasm, watching lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, buffaloes and even the very rare black rhinoceros! We stayed in beautiful lodges surrounded by plants and vegetation typical of the area, equipped with a swimming pool and a very welcoming dining area and managed by staff always ready for every need... an unforgettable trip!! JAMBO!!

Safari tiring but full of great sightings and satisfactions, in places we had heard so much about but without being able to understand the extraordinary uniqueness if not visiting them in person.
