Description
We are all about fishing the stunning waters of Tamarindo, our local crew will know exactly where the best fishing spots will be on the day of your tour. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain and 1st mate can tell you all about their experience fishing in the gorgeous Pacific waters of Costa Rica. Not only they will give you a good insight on different types of fishing that are popular in the area but if you’re lucky enough they can fillet the fish for you so you can take with you or enjoy a fresh sashimi on board.
You´ll be fishing aboard a 26ft Mako center console that holds up to 5 passengers, it has outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There´s a toilet on board for your convenience. You´ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you as well as lures.
Trips are run with the help of a First mate, a 10-20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work (not included in tour price).

Best fishing charter experience EVER!!!
Our family had an amazing time on the fishing charter trip. The captain Bismark is super friendly and is so knowledgeable about the area and where the best spots are to fish. We had a beautiful morning to go fish and snorkeling at a private beach where there was no one except us.
Our son is over the moon so happy to catch his first fish- a yellow fin tuna! Bismark and his crew helped make us feel welcome and took care of all our needs. I would definitely go again.

A must do day trip
Great day, great guide, great pics of sloths and frogs…..a must do. Rudy was the best….enjoyed the little history lesson on Costa Rica.

We had an amazing time...
We had an amazing time with Bismark on the trip. They were incredibly kind and informative and we got delicious fish that we got cooked right where we got off. We had a blast!

Book it, you will NOT regret it.
BISMARCK and Jose were amazing. We caught so many fish and had a great time. Well worth the money. Book it and it will be the highlight of the trip! Snapper, grouper and TUNA!! Plus you will be support an amazing small local business.

Experience Unforgettable!!
Bismark and Fabian were absolutely incredible. My husband, 13 year son and myself enjoyed a glorious day on the water. We caught so much fish we shared with Bismark and Fabian. While it’s a smaller vessel, the intimate experience is so worth it. They were attentive, patient, knew all the best spots and cheered us on as we reeled in the catch.

Great personal experience
Really enjoyed our fishing trip with Sailfish tours. Caroline and Bismarck were great and despite the rough seas they were able to get us on some snapper and tuna. I will definitely book with them again and pray for calmer seas.
Had our catch cooked for dinner too!

Great fishing trip out of Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Went on a half day fishing trip out of Tamarindo, Costa Rica with Caroline and Bismark. They got us on some Albacore Tuna right away. Bismark cleaned them right on the boat for us. Was a pretty wavy day but Caroline kept checking on us making sure we were all doing ok. Great conversation and a great time!

Highly recommend
Our family had an amazing time with Caroline and Bismark. Caroline contacted us and warned that the waters might be rough and to bring anti-nausea pills but in the end the waters were calm. We were also told no guarantees for catching fish but we caught 8 tuna and kept 3 that Bismark kindly skinned and gutted. I made fish tacos for lunch and sushi tuna for dinner.
We were also served the most amazing tasting pineapple and a few very cold beers. I would highly recommend this excursion.
