Description
Zig-zag your way up the fastest route to the summit of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa. This is the same path used before the cable-way was built. Look back at postcard views of Table Bay, Robben Island and down town Cape Town. This is the iconic way up the 7th Natural Wonder of the World. Enjoy time on the summit with many viewpoints and photo opportunities, grab a bite to eat or drink at the cafe on top and experience the cable-way back down the mountain.

Half day Table Mountain walk
Rob was a great guide, lots of knowledge of plants and the geo formation. He provided us with lots of options as the weather wasn’t ideal to get to the summit of Table Mountain. We had a great experience. Thank you.

Challenging and exciting walk
Communication was excellent from both tour operator and the guide- and I was able to arrange pick up from my hotel for a reasonable fee. My Guide, Rob, was very experienced and knowledgeable. Safety was a high priority. The trail was harder than I’d expected and the wind was high. The cable cars were not running. I decided to turn back before the top due to the strong wind gusts. It was hard to balance on the rocks. Other guides and groups on the mountain also turned round. Over all it was a challenging and thrilling walk up a majestic mountain.

Wow, what a hike
It was fabulous! Way steeper than I thought it would be, so our guide Shanine encouraged me to take a breather and continue onwards. I would not have done it without her words. Btw, the views were fantastic and the sense of accomplishment was great.

Wonderful hike, highly recommend!!
I had a great time hiking the beautiful Platteklip Gorge! Shanine is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. It was an overall amazing experience, definitely a must while you are in Cape Town!

Platteklip gorge hike.
Shanine was a fantastic guide. Very helpful and safety conscious. Had a lot of helpful and interesting info about the maintain. Would definitely use again for any future hikes.

Awesome Platteklip Day hike, awesome guide
Shanine was an outstanding guide, she was kind, considerate, patient with the hikers that may need time to pace throughout, and she is very knowledgeable about the mountain, the area, the history of Cape Town and South Africa. We enjoyed tremendously the hike, and highly recommend it. Be aware though is a tough hike, shortest but steepest trail to the top of Table Mountain. Worth every effort!

Fantastic hiking experience! Salvie was an excellent guide, always responsive and willing to help and give suggestion also to the other people on the way up to the top if he though they needed some kind of help.
The view at the top is spectacular: is not an easy hike, but it definitely worths the effort

Great challenge up the mountain!
Great hike with a great guide! We had a perfect weather for the day. The hike is quite challenging as it is quite steep. The guide was very friendly and helpful in explaining more about the Table Mountain
