Description
The tasting will take place in a centuries-old estate that includes a Greek fortress. You can enjoy a pleasant visit, strolling through the vineyards and the lush exotic garden while a wine expert will guide you through a selection of 4 different wines representing the area and traditions of Sicily. You will learn about the different grape varieties, the soil, and the winemaking techniques used to produce these exceptional wines. Targetta: Grape variety: shiny Catarratto. Bright straw yellow in colour, with hints of orange blossom, golden apple and peach, with slight mineral hints. The taste is dry, savoury and fresh. Re Federico: hints of red fruits, flowers and vanilla. The taste is soft, balanced and harmonious, expressing good structure and pleasant envelopment. Damarete Rosato: dense yet flowing, wild yet elegant, consistent yet refined. Baronessa di Canseria: scents of green pepper with notes of morello cherry, cinchona root and leather. Minimum participants: 2 people

Small group tasting....
Small group tasting. Maybe 10-12 people max. Takes place at the winery, which is a beautiful property. We walked all over the property getting the history and philosophy of the winemaker. After the facility tour and a small section of the vineyard, we sat for the tasting experience. Generous portions of food to pair with the wines. Julia was our host. She is a very knowledgeable, welcoming person . You can tell she loves her job and knows her wines. The wines were very tasty. This is a great introduction to Sicilian wines. Highly recommend this experience

Superb wines in a beautiful location
Cannot recommend this tour enough. There was plenty of detail and we got to see a lot of the vineyard itself and were given plenty of time to explore as well. The location itself is very interesting and stunningly beautiful, with a lot of history. The tasting was great with a lot of variety as well as flexibility to specific tastes if people wanted. There was also the option to purchase additional glasses of wines of our choosing for a very reasonable price. The food was also very good, and much more substantial than we expected. The only issue we had was that we couldn't stay longer. I'd suggest you assume you will be there for at least 2.5 hours, and it is well worth your time. An added bonus was the dog who was lovely and friendly as well as being great fun!

Vineyard tour and tasting near Siracusa
Elegant wine tasting room. Delicious wines and accompaniments. Beautiful winery. Well presented information and, of course, lots of history. (Yes - we bought and they will ship)

Wonderful winery experience!
The tour was informative, and the wine and food were both excellent. We ordered a case of the wine to ship home to Australia, we enjoyed it so much! I fully recommend this experience!

Best winery experience!!
Wonderful winery and hosts. The wine was very nice and Italian charcuterie was beyond amazing! Our host was knowledgeable and gave us a comprehensive tour of the grounds and castle! Of course we bought wine and had an awesome day. Don’t hesitate-book this tour!!
