Great experience and thoroughly recommended. My expert guide Glenn was very forthcoming with info and helped me in understanding what I needed to know and learn. Tailored to what you need which I find refreshing in this day and age.

Our tours are always private, so you and your group (up to four people in total) will be able to go anywhere in Sydney that tickles your fancy. One route we suggest would be to start in Milsons Point and shoot at the iconic Luna Park amusement park, shooting under the Harbour Bridge before catching a ferry to Circular Quai. Having a bite to eat before heading off to Kings Cross or Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair to explore the city after dark when the lights start to twinkle. Over our three hours together we will go over: - Understanding your camera: technical aspects such as Aperture, ISO and shutter speed - How to frame the perfect image. What to include, and what not to include. - Night photography techniques, what settings and locations work best. - Making sure you are standing in the right place at the right time to get the perfect picture - Reviewing your photography.

What a fantastic day from the start to finish
Thank you, we are glad you had a wonderful time with us.
Great experience to photograph around Sydney Harbour environments. Our photographer host, Chris, was on time and professional. He had obviously scouted places for us to get the best photographs. He offered solid pointers on exposure and composition opportunities, plus some fun/creative options to make our tour even more enjoyable. Just be aware that you will be doing a lot of walking, but it's well worth it. Thanks to Chris and Aperture Tours for an excellent experience!
Thank you for the excellent review! We are thrilled our team could deliver a great Sydney Harbour experience with professional scouting and helpful creative tips. The walking is definitely worth it for those shots!
I had the pleasure walking with Glenn around Sydney Harbour. He showed me the best spots and photography techniques. Glenn is a very passionate and experienced photographer. In just four hours he‘s been teaching me a lot of stuff I didn‘t know before while showing me around the best spots to photograph the harbour bridge and the opera house. It was very inspiring, keep up the good work!
Delighted you enjoyed your walk around Sydney Harbour. Great to hear the mix of locations and techniques inspired you. Thanks for joining us and hope to photograph with you again.
Aperture tours is an excellent company to work with. They communicated the time and person who will be my tour guide and his contact information. This allowed me to receive text information on delays or travel information directly from my guide. Aperture reminded me of the tour date as it got closer. My tour guide was Glenn and he was awesome! He was very patient and understanding as we went through photography techniques. We discuss topics I was most interested in like composition and lighting. Glenn knew the locations to go to and we setup for each photo shoot. He's very knowledgeable about photography and highly recommend this company and Glenn when in Sydney, Australia.
Really glad the experience worked well for you. We appreciate your kind words about the communication, the guidance and the overall flow of the session. Delighted the Sydney tour helped you focus on what mattered most to you. Thanks again for choosing us and we hope to photograph with you again one day.
Great photography lesson with Glenn. He aimed the session very well for both of us despite being at different abilities. Well done. Really enjoyed it.
Thanks so much! We're glad you both enjoyed the session and that it worked well for your different levels. Always a pleasure to share the joy of photography!
The three hours flew by and I was sorry it was over so quickly. Glenn did a fantastic job of covering the fundamentals (eg exposure triangle) and then focusing on each aspect of the triangle to give real world examples of the tradeoffs (eg shooting moving traffic at 1/60s shutter speed to see the blur, then shooting it again at 1/1000s to see it stop the motion). He had me in aperture priority for about 30 minutes, shutter priority for 30 minutes, then manual mode the final two hours. I’ve never shot manual, and Glenn did a great job of not only removing the fear of full manual, but getting me excited about the upsides of manual. Probably the single most valuable thing was to have a pro standing next to me that wanted to review every shot for composition. As a landscape photographer I don’t use a lot of the zoom in my 24-240mm lens. Glenn pointed out several times I wasted pixels and was relying on crop to get a good shot. He pushed me to really get in tight on the subjects and showed the impact of “cropping your shot in camera, not in post.” An awesome class that I would retake multiple times, as getting access to a 30 year professional who is a very good teacher in a 1:1 setting is worth every penny!
We're thrilled to hear how much you valued the hands-on approach and real-world application of photography techniques. It’s fantastic that the session helped you gain confidence in manual mode and refine your composition skills. We’d love to have you join us again for another session—there’s always more to explore.
Glenn was a patient teacher, listened to our wishes and adapted his lesson accordingly. He was patient, creative and very experienced. He has taken us a step further with our photography skills.
Hartelijk dank voor je mooie woorden! We zijn blij dat de les goed aansloot bij jullie wensen en dat het heeft geholpen om jullie fotografievaardigheden verder te ontwikkelen.
Glenn was great - lots of time spent on lighting and composition and he really encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and go full manual! We met at Milson’a point rail station and made our way down the water where we took our time photographing the bridge and the opera house. From there we went to Luna Park which was really fun - lots of colours and reflections to play with. The. We took the ferry across to the opera house and spent the rest of the wring photographing it from the exterior. I’m not back home yet so no photos to share for a bit bit I really enjoyed my evening - thanks Glenn!
We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed exploring lighting, composition, and stepping into manual mode—what an exciting challenge! It sounds like a fantastic evening, from the iconic bridge and Opera House to the vibrant colours of Luna Park. We’re so glad you had fun and can’t wait to see the photos when you're ready to share them.
The photographer, Glenn Lockitch was very good with all the uses of the Canon EOS R5, camera I have learning many additional aspects of the camera. I found Glenn very personable and patient with my limited knowledge and experience. Unfortunately I lost my wallet somewhere along the way and Glenn went over and above in trying to help me.
It's great to hear you had a positive learning experience with our photographer and appreciated the patience and support offered, especially regarding your camera. We're sorry to hear about your wallet but pleased to know our team member went the extra mile to assist. Your feedback is highly valued!
