If you’re a foodie with a sweet tooth, definitely check out this tour with Lara! She gave me such a warm and wonderful introduction to Finnish sweets with both historical and contemporary staples!! We also tried some caviar so if you’d like to try that too, she definitely only recommends high quality artisans so check out the Helsinki food scene with Lara! You can’t go wrong! It was like having a local friend show you around which made the tour even more enjoyable for me as she provided lots of insights as well beyond the historical facts that other tours might provide or in the audio tours. We even went grocery shopping for some local favorites such as bread cheese, blueberry “soup” and more! I would definitely book again in another season as their offerings can change with the seasons. Can’t wait until next time, Lara :) Thanks so much for showing me the real Helsinki!
This tour was such a fun and delicious way to explore Helsinki. It felt like a mix of a walking tour, a history lesson, and a very good excuse to eat pastries and chocolate for a few hours. Every stop had something different to try, from traditional Finnish treats to more modern chocolate creations, and everything was genuinely delicious. Our guide was warm, funny, and knowledgeable, and shared lots of little stories about Helsinki’s history and food culture along the way. I especially liked how the tour connected the city’s traditions with the newer, more creative side of its food scene. The pace was relaxed, the portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. I left with a much better sense of Helsinki, plus a few new favorite Finnish sweets. Definitely recommended for anyone who likes food, history, or simply discovering a city in a more memorable way.
