disappointing
Disappointing experience due to the pricing
I booked the surf course through TripAdvisor, where there was a 30% discount available. The provider then contacted me directly and asked me to cancel the TripAdvisor booking and book directly with them instead.
Before doing so, I contacted the provider and asked whether they could offer the same price I had found on TripAdvisor, which was around €21–21.50 per person for two people. The provider explicitly confirmed that this price was fine and that there would be no problem.
However, once we arrived in Agadir, I was contacted again and asked where I had found such a low price. I explained that I had booked through TripAdvisor using the available discount. I was then told that they could not offer the course at the previously confirmed price and that the actual price would be around €35 per person.
Naturally, I did not accept this and decided not to take the course.
It was particularly disappointing because the price had been discussed and explicitly confirmed beforehand. If the provider could not offer the agreed price, this should have been communicated before asking me to cancel my original TripAdvisor booking.
For me, this was not a professional way to handle a booking, and unfortunately I cannot recommend the service based on this experience.

I recommend without hesitation.
We had a very beautiful stay at the ELAHTI surf camp, in a traditional family home where we particularly appreciated the simplicity, the friendliness, and the respect for everyone.
Hatim and Élise are two deeply human, open, and generous people who know how to create a true family atmosphere. Much more than just a surf trip, we had a beautiful human experience, made of encounters, sharing, and simple moments.
The Moroccan meals, tasty and hearty, are served every day with care on magnificent traditional tableware. The morning surf lessons are individualized and adapted to everyone's level, while the free afternoon sessions allow you to put the advice into practice and progress at your own pace. As always with surfing, conditions depend on the weather and the waves, but Hatim and Élise know how to adapt to the conditions and suggest the most appropriate spots.
What we particularly appreciated was their availability and kindness, which go well beyond surfing. They provided us with valuable advice for our excursions, but also helped us in unforeseen situations, including after we left the camp. An attention that truly testifies to their generosity.
We were also lucky enough to share this week with an Italian family and to experience a very collaborative stay, where everyone brings something to the others and is enriched by the encounters.
A big thank you to Hatim and Élise for their hospitality, their kindness, and their authenticity. ELAHTI is above all a beautiful human encounter, in a simple, warm, and family-friendly setting. An experience that we recommend with great pleasure!

You can go there with your eyes closed.
Family surf camp.
Great service in every respect. Group of a human size of 9 for 2 instructors. Very educational, good advice, you are never alone.
And what's great is that Lise and Hatim are also there for after-surf to accompany you or help you organize excursions at a fair price.
Meals and breakfasts are very varied, always homemade.
I highly recommend.

Very bad experience - Be careful, on Google they tried to censor my review demonstrating their bad faith
By far my worst travel experience. I strongly advise against it.
We were looking for a place to surf and sleep. The online reviews seemed positive. The reality? Light-years away. $700 for 3 days/5 nights in a dormitory with a shared bathroom for 5. I do not recommend it.
What we paid vs. what we received:
$150/night for a room for 3, very poor quality meals, and an oppressive atmosphere from start to finish.
The concrete issues:
1. Non-compliant payment: Upon arrival, there was an insistent and awkward request for a transfer to the personal account of Hatim's wife (not the business account). Then pressure to withdraw €470 in cash from the village ATM with a first misleading argument: "they would have asked for cash upfront." Then: "This would incur fees for us." Then "our withdrawal limit is set by the bank and we have to pay for groceries" then "Can you at least withdraw half?" Unusual and dishonest. Ultimately, I made the transfer shown in the photo below to Hatim's wife's account...)
2. Precarious conditions: Hot water was cut off from the first night during my shower. A resident explained to me that they cut it off intentionally and that it needed to be requested. One roll of toilet paper for 5 people – in the morning, nothing left.
3. Poor quality food and in small quantities: Stale bread often for breakfast. Lemon verbena instead of mint tea (actual cost: 1 dirham = 10 cents). Poor quality amlou despite their price. Lunches (pasta, peas, egg for example). Dinners in reduced portions, far from real Moroccan cuisine.
4. Insulting responses: When I questioned the yoga at €60/3 people, the response was: "This is no longer the Morocco of 1900, the hotels next door are at €500." False on all points. As a Franco-Moroccan, I know the prices; no hotel (even the Marriott) charges that.
5. Passive-aggressive, racist, and threatening behavior: After refusing to pay in cash, everything changed. Tense breakfasts/dinners. Inappropriate remarks. Different treatment.
More seriously: racist remarks. During a conversation about the French national football team, they said that black players were "not really French." I kindly reminded that it was not said that way.
Last day: we wanted to return to the normal time to clean ourselves before visiting the city. Élise responded: "We do not take taxis." When Hatim arrived, instead of responding to our simple request, he attempted with Elise to shift the problem by claiming that we opposed him taking another group for a surfing lesson – which was irrelevant and completely indifferent to us as long as it did not penalize us. It was a distraction maneuver. Élise arrived, hands on her hips, hysterically repeating that I was lying. We felt unsafe.
6. Retention of photos: They took photos for Instagram, promised to send them to us, but there was no follow-up even though they posted those same photos on Instagram.
7. Low-quality surfing lessons: Instructors focused on the best participant. Presence of a monitor's fiancée on the second day, which took his attention during the lessons. Inability to progress calmly in this unhealthy atmosphere.
I also have serious doubts about whether they hold the necessary authorizations, which is dangerous for the participants.
My advice: If you want to surf in Morocco, book a hotel and take surfing lessons separately (€25 for 2 hours + 2 hours supervised). You will save your money, your mental health, and your safety.

A team of incredible kindness and commitment: a family surfing discovery stay tailor-made!
We have just returned from an absolutely magical stay with Elhati Surf in Tamraght, with our daughters aged 6 and 12.
A huge thank you to Elise, Hatim and Mustapha, an exceptional small team who accompanied us from morning to night with rare kindness and generosity.
They organized us a totally tailor-made stay, perfectly adapted to our family of 4 who wanted to discover surfing and Morocco: spacious accommodation in a family house in the heart of the village of Tamraght, gourmet Moroccan breakfasts prepared every morning, family surfing sessions and magnificent excursions (Paradise Valley, the dunes of Timlaline, Taghazout, Color village...).
The real plus: their presence and involvement at all times.
For our surfing sessions, the three of them were there for the 4 of us, which is simply ideal: everyone was able to progress and enjoy it to the fullest, big and small.
Their complementarity is perfect:
– Elise, French, is incredibly attentive and watches over every detail so that everything is fluid and comfortable.
Hatim, Moroccan and passionate about his region and surfing, is an extremely pedagogical teacher.
Mustapha brings a joyful and communicative energy, with a real child’s soul that makes every moment even more fun.
We leave not only with surfing memories, but with the feeling of having experienced a real human and family immersion in Morocco.
If you’re looking for more than just a surf camp, head out with your eyes closed.

Exceptional surfing experience in Taghazout
It's been more than 4 years now that we come to Taghazout for surfing and Hatim is just exceptional!! My children (6 years and 13 years) and nephew (12 years) are so happy: they progress enormously every year thanks to Hatim s experience and method, they trust and have fun! Even the little one became a surf fan:) in addition to Hatim s expertise, his kindness and humor make it a unique moment to live! I can only recommend warmly!!! Thank you again Hatim!
