Join us for a relaxing sunset ocean kayak tour. This is a great way to end your day. We’ll enjoy 2-hours together on the water exploring the Santa Barbara harbor & shoreline as the sun sets, creating a gorgeous backdrop of the city and the Santa Ynez Mountain range. This tour is fun and affordable for the whole family! Plus, it’s great for all sea kayaking skill levels including beginners to advanced.

- PLEASE NOTE: The start time changes throughout the year and is approximately 2 hours prior to sunset. Please call our office for confirmation of your meet time.

- Minimum numbers apply. Our kayak tours require a minimum of 2 participants to run. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.

- Children under 5 are not permitted. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult in a double kayak.
- Although we offer dry bags to help keep gear dry, everything that comes on the kayaking trip runs the risk of getting wet. We therefore recommend that you only bring personal gear that can get wet or damp during the trip. Items that must stay dry such as cameras or other electronic devices, change of clothes or personal belongings should stay in your vehicle.
- Sun Screen (SPF 30 or higher).
- A hat with a brim.
- Sunglasses with a neck strap such as "Chums" or “Croakies”
- 1-quart (or greater) water bottle filled with water - please help us reduce our environmental footprint by bringing a re-usable bottle.
- Wet shoes such as "Tevas" or "Aqua Socks" or an old pair of tennies.
- Swim suit or swim trunks
- Sweatshirt
- A beach towel
- Waterproof camera (recyclable).(optional)
- Polyester shirt or other synthetic clothing (layering). (optional)
- Double kayaks are automatically provided. Singles are available for odd number parties. Guests over 230lbs will be provided a single kayak.
- Guests under 18 years of age MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign their release forms. If you need this paperwork sent to you ahead of time, please contact our office.

Fantastic trip out at sunset with Brandon and Kyle - thanks for all the great information and factoids about the local wildlife and Santa Barbara area! We all really enjoyed the evening. What a beautiful experience in Santa Barbara Harbor. We chose to do this on our final night in the central coast. Liam was informative, engaging, and reassuring throughout the sunset tour. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
This was a great experience. Brendan was friendly and informative. Also made sure everyone stuck together and was safe. Will do it again next time I am in town!!!
We met our guide at the assigned spot and time with no issues. Liam explained the tour and equipment and we headed off on our tour of the marina and harbor heading all the way out to a harbor buoy covered with sea lions. We even got to paddle under the wharf. Liam was knowledgeable and a very nice person. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Brenden and John were fantastic guides for our sunset kayak trip! I am new to Santa Barbara and plan to book additional trips for myself to explore and will absolutely be recommending Santa Barbara Adventure Company to visitors and friends.
Wonderful sunset and full moon paddle
It was such an incredible time kayaking in Santa Barbara for the sunset tour. It turned out to be a really fun and memorable group activity Our guides, Peter and Johnny, were absolutely awesome, friendly, entertaining, helpful, and funny throughout the experience. We paddled through the harbor, passed beautiful boats, saw pelicans and seals, went underneath the pier, and enjoyed the most amazing sunset views. The entire experience was full of laughter, beautiful scenery, and unforgettable moments. I would highly recommend this kayaking tour to anyone looking for a fun, unique, and memorable experience in Santa Barbara! Thank you Peter and Johnny!
