Explore the canals of Xochimilco before anyone else on this pre-sunrise experience. You'll navigate its waters in a single or shared kayak (2 people). The overall experience was one of the best I’ve had so far since coming to Mexico. Vanessa was an amazing tour guide. She was very knowledgeable on xochimilco and the surrounding areas. Answered all questions fluently. I would recommend this experience to solo travelers. 10/10
Xochimilco is absolutely beautiful and one of the most unique places I’ve been to and the kayaking is a serene, relaxing experience. The breakfast was at a very cute “cafe” by the canal and the food & coffee were delicious . We saw many water fowl along the way which was a bonus. The tour operator was helpful in setting our pickup even though our hotel was not on the list on the website. Our driver Ana drove us smoothly to our dock and made sure we were able to nap while on the way there (it’s a 4a pickup so we were all drowsy). Vanessa our guide (in English) was very warm and patient with all our questions and requests. She spoke slowly and clearly so we had little trouble understanding her. Would highly recommend this experience and I will make sure to come back here if I’m ever in CDMX

It’s both great and it can improve a lot. The experience once the sun rises is superb. The team lacks a lot of training. They had me answer the same questions too many times, thru email, chat and call. When a new team member contacted me, they made me go thru the same things again and again. Then we had to wake up at 3 am, the punctuality for the pick up was great but once we got there and ready with the life jacket on we had to wait for 40 minutes for the kayaks to show up.
I gave our guide 3 stars only because I felt she didn’t give enough information about the canals. I thought she’d give us more information at breakfast like another guide did to his tour.
Our guide was so wonderful. Vanessa was very kind and organized. It was such a beautiful morning and an epic experience. Highly recommend the lunch experience—so delicious and a beautiful area.
