Before your day starts, you will complete a short questionnaire that helps your host understand your interests, pace, and what you want to get out of your time in the city. Your host will then reach out directly to shape a route that reflects this. On the day, you will explore Stockholm with someone who knows it through lived experience. As you move through the city together, the experience unfolds naturally through conversation, local insight, and the details that bring each area to life. Rather than following a fixed itinerary, the route remains flexible, allowing your time to feel personal, well paced, and closely connected to how Stockholm is actually lived.

Stockholm is spread across 14 islands, where freshwater meets the Baltic Sea and neighborhoods are linked by bridges and waterways. With a local host, you experience how the city connects in everyday life, not just how it appears on a map. Before your experience, you will complete a short questionnaire so your host can design a route shaped around your interests, pace, and curiosity. Here are some places your host may include along the way:
Gamla Stan is where Stockholm began in the 13th century, and its layout still follows that original footprint. Narrow alleyways weave between closely set buildings, where worn stone and tight corners reveal a city shaped long before modern planning.
At the center of Gamla Stan, Stortorget is framed by tall merchant houses in deep, distinctive colors. This compact square has anchored daily life for centuries, and its scale creates a setting that feels both historically significant and quietly active.
The Royal Palace, with more than 600 rooms, defines this part of the city. Surrounding it, wide streets and open squares create a sense of order, where formal architecture meets the steady movement of modern Stockholm.
Monteliusvägen offers a clear view of how Stockholm is shaped. From this elevated path, the city stretches across water and islands, with rooftops and spires layered in a way that reflects both its geography and its design.
Södermalm reveals a more contemporary side of Stockholm. Once a working-class district, it now blends independent shops, creative spaces, and residential streets, creating an atmosphere that feels lived in, evolving, and distinctly local.

We had a limited number of days in Stockholm, as we were only in town for a concert, and didn't want to waste time. Arranging this 2-hour tour was perfect, not only because we were taking seamlessly to historic areas that mirrored our interests, but our guide was a human Google of knowledge and pointed out beautiful spots for photos we otherwise may have missed. He met us at the hotel not only on time, but a few minutes early, and really maximized our time together. We left with historical knowledge and really felt like we understood and enjoyed the culture by the time we flew home!

A nice trip in Stockholm start with our guide Kerstin. She is a local resident with a lot of travel experience so she knows what is a good tour for the visitors and also got a lot of information about the city itself. During the three hours we visited many places in the city - starting from the touristy areas to the local favorites, also went shopping a little bit. Really appreciate the great experience and flexibility of this private tour and Kerstin is a great guide!

Zenid was a wonderful tour guide. He is so knowledgeable about Stockholm. And his journalist experience was great in translating Stockholm's history into interesting stories. Our guide Zenid was excellent. He communicated with us before our tour and promptly picked us up at our hotel on our first afternoon in Stockholm. We walked all around Gamla Stan learning so much about the area. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved hearing about the history and seeing the buildings. It was the perfect introduction to the area. At the conclusion of the tour, he dropped us off at the restaurant where we had dinner reservations, which was nice and convenient. Stepan was terrific. He gave me a solo tour tailored to my interests with lots of history. We went into substantial depth and he was incredibly knowledgeable.
