Booked a month ago for teenage son’s 18th birthday. Showed up at 17:00 and, without any communication, they had no one to take us through the maze. Sat there for an hour listening to everyone else go through the maze. Atrocious.
I think I expected more from the experience overall, it is clear that more money needs to be invested in the games. I think our host did a brilliant job, kept up her act the whole way through, she must be exhausted at the end of her shift! Some of the games were ok, some were just naff. As it's such a fast paced enviroment its clear the hosts don't have time to fully re-set each game at the end of a group, sometimes the host was quickly re-setting props as we arrived to the next game. This is not their fault, they need more staff. The reveal of the crystals in some rooms is just the poor host throwing the crytsal into the room. I understand that money probably dictates this and also people probably steal them but this felt a bit cringe. Some trash was left behind in some areas. I was really looking forward to the dome but the tickets just blow around the edges so felt a bit underwhelming overall. We visited as a team of 5 and then has two others join the team, which is fine but when it is a strangers child who you don't know it feels a bit awkward. Overall if you can get a discount its probably worth it if you liked the original show, but i wouldn't pay full price for this. Also since visiting I have learned the staff don't even get paid the London Living Wage, which is absolutely crazy the work they have to do!
Fabulous activity. A very close live replica of the programme. Very friendly staff and super fun activities. Highly recommend!
absolutely brilliant Robin was our tour guide at around 7pm the guide made the event he was incredible and funny
We had a fabulous time!! Our host Professor Mal made it so fun. Two adults and three children on the VIP package. The challenges were great, and varied. Nice to walk out with a crystal.
Was a really amazing ,fun experience. Joined up with another family and it made the experience even better. We all enjoyed working together to complete the puzzles. Staff were friendly and helpful. Greg was our guide and he was so much fun.
Thank you DJ for such a wonderful experience. You made it so much fun and really adapted everything well for our group as we had a 10 and 11 year old with us. It would not have been the same without you as our host. You’re a star - thank you so much from Team Ooohhhhh
Sounded cool- wasn’t great experience! We understood that you can be merged with another group if the group was small… but they merged our adult group with a family with two children approx 9 and 12. Was quite disapointing- should put adult groups together and family groups together not mix unless requested- made the dynamic not great. Also it is expensive for having 2 go’s on a challenge- and watching other people take part- can’t really interact with someone’s children as that’s a bit wierd for them. Also felt like we were put together so staff could finish early! Not everyone was ready when you get the very brief description of the challenge so half of the challenges people didn’t have a clue until part way through the challenge. The game guid who took us around did as good a job as they could with the naff tools— the crystals on half of our challenges were just thrown in the room on the floor at the end of the challenges were completed for someone to just pick them up say a chant and give it back! I personally wouldn’t recommend- I wouldn’t do it again- The photos are overpriced at the end!! £15 for one!
I attended the crystal maze with my family this week. Shocked at the price vs value - my stepfather paid £200 and we got to play one game each because we were with a random group of 4?! Would have been great if we had actually got to do things but standing outside a window and looking at a stranger wobble a board around to get a ball in was boring as hell. Waste of money. Do an escape room instead.
This experience was gifted to us, and we're so glad it was because we had an absolutely fantastic time. It was the perfect activity for a fun day out and exceeded our expectations from start to finish. We were particularly lucky that there were only four of us taking part, which meant we had more opportunities to get involved in the games and challenges. This made the experience feel much more personal and allowed us to make the most of every room and activity. A special mention has to go to our Maze Master, who I believe was called Rohan. He was absolutely incredible throughout the entire experience. His enthusiasm, energy, and friendly personality really brought the Crystal Maze to life. He made everyone feel comfortable, kept the excitement levels high, and ensured we were having fun every step of the way. The challenges themselves were brilliant. Some were physically challenging but fun, while others were surprisingly difficult and really got us thinking and working together as a team. The mix of physical, mental, skill-based, and mystery challenges kept things interesting and meant there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience filled with fun, teamwork, and plenty of memorable moments. I would highly recommend The Crystal Maze to anyone looking for a unique and entertaining activity. It's an amazing experience and definitely worth trying!
