RIP off Tour
This is a complete rip off. First you have to find the office which is not adjacent to the Basilica. We found the office a minute late and were told the tour had gone. Despite the ticket saying it is refundable, it wasn’t. The tour we booked is only for the outside of the building which was not clear at the time of booking. So, we inadvertently booked the wrong tour from a random office through trip advisor and the refund was not honoured although no reason for The refusal was given.

Tour of the OUTSIDE of the church.
This is a tour OUTSIDE of the church. This was not mentioned in the title when we booked and it caught us by surprise when we realised that...
This should definitely be mentioned at the title!
The tour guide was ok, she looked a bit bored doing the tour. She gave us the tip to enter the chapel next to Basilica though to have a look at the church which was a good one.

Highly recommend this tour
We enjoyed our visit to St mark's basilica. Michaela was a very interesting and informative guide. The Basilica itself is worth seeing with all its gold mosaic tiles covering the ceiling with a back story of the history behind it.

Guide was vey knowledgeable and explained in details the mosaics in the church. The tour was worth it and if you want more time in the church to pray or look around you can stay inside at the end of the tour.

Michela was great, but the description of the tour made that sound like we get access to the cathedral… You do not. You have to read the details very far down after you pay for it to see that it is not for entry to the cathedral or a past access into the cathedral. It is a tour of the outside with very good historical information provided.

This only got you into the church, not upstairs or downstairs, nothing. Sucked not worth the money.
