Disappointed
Didn’t really get much of the history of St. John’s. Our guide was. a charming young man but he really didn’t present himself as a true St. John’s person passionate about his city. More really just following a script. We always try and take a walking tour when in cities we re not familiar with to get a feel and not just wander round not knowing what we are looking at. We didn’t come away knowing much about the history of St. John’s that is readily available online. The stops at places of interest seemed more just of filler.

Worth the time to learn more about the City
Small tour with only 4 people. The tour guide, William was very amiable, and was obviously keen to help and assist his group. He managed the pace of the tour well and had a good local knowledge. No time restraint therefore no rush. Well worth the booking.

Great introduction to St John’s
Isaac was an excellent guide, he explained much of the history- keeping it simple and interesting-the culture, language etc while walking between the major sights and significant buildings and avoiding steep climbs. He welcomed and answered all our questions. A thorough and comprehensive introduction to St John’s in just under 2 hours. Highly recommended

The best way to learn about St John’s and Newfoundland
Isaac was an excellent guide, he explained much of the history - keeping it simple and interesting - the culture, language etc., while walking around the major sights and avoiding steep climbs. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!
Dave gave us a wonderful toir, blending history, culture and delicious tastes along the way. I would recommend this as a great way to experience Newfoundland culture.

Nice tour around the downtown
Marc was a very knowledgeable man who tolk the group about the history of Newfoundland in general. We also walked around the city for 2 hours to visit historic/important sites in person
