Olive oil museum.
The setting is quiet and peaceful. It’s a nice drive if you have a spare afternoon. Our tour guide Luca was funny and informative.
We purchased olive oil for home.

Informative & Interesting
Our family of 4 adults did the standard museum tour and paid for the additional olive oil tasting experience. While some of the reviews are correct in describing the museum isn’t technically a museum, it does provide interesting information about the historical and current approaches for growing, picking, processing olives and producing different kinds of olive oil in Croatia. But by far the highlight was the tasting experience which was an enjoyable and informative activity. Ines was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. Some additional advice is to visit the incredible Klis Fortress before or after visiting the Olive Oil Museum.
Operator response

Olive Oil tasting was worth the additional few euros
We did the olive oil tasting at Stella Croatica, led by Luka, and it was excellent. Luka was fantastic — knowledgeable, engaging and really good at explaining everything in a way that made it interesting for all of us. Even the kids loved it and came away understanding much more about olive oil and what good olive oil should actually taste like.
The setting is beautiful, and there are lots of other goodies to discover too. We were able to taste and try plenty of the different products before deciding what we wanted to buy, which was great. We ended up leaving with quite a lot! What we particularly appreciated was that there was absolutely no hard sell or pressure to buy anything.
A really enjoyable experience and definitely worth visiting.

Excellent time
We had a great time. The lunch was one the best I've had on tour. The Olive museum was fun. The shop was great, I wish I had picked up more soaps. The staff treated us so very well. I only wish the website was easier to purchase more from them.

Enjoyed the visit
Our visit was not planned but as it was included with the Klis Fortress entrance ticket, we gave it a go and enjoyed it. We were individual visitors but tagged along with an organised group's 30 minute tour through the factory, gardens and museum, the latter of which was very interesting - I'll never evaluate olive oil in the same way again! Not being on a formal tour meant we could take our time.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the tour finishes at their shop - I guess this is the main reason they host visitors - where you can buy the products. There's no obligation but we were persuaded by a couple of items and if you have an hour to spare and are interested in flora and food, I'd suggest giving it a go.
Operator response

Not a museum
This is not a museum at all
It’s an store with an small rooms with some olive oil facts
The tasting is just bottles of olive oil
In the counter
They shouldn’t charge money for this
Operator response
Dear Alejandra,
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience following your recent visit.
For over 20 years, we have been producing traditional delicacies, all handmade in our factory located inside the experience center. Admission to the entire center, including the museum, is paid as it is privately owned. Visitors can explore Dalmatian heritage through various stages of the visit, such as the museum—which consists of two rooms and was recognized by the Council of Europe as a finalist for the European Museum of the Year Award in 2023—as well as the production line, botanical garden, distillery, and our restaurant serving local cuisine. Our products are crafted by hand rather than by machines, making each one a unique and authentic local creation that we take great pride in.
Our concept store consists of one large room where guests are welcome to try most of our products for free, with no obligation to purchase anything. We are sorry if there was any misunderstanding and you expected only a museum visit, as the museum represents just one part of our broader concept designed to help visitors discover the story behind our products.
Warm regards,
Stella Team
