Water was a little warm, kids had fun. Get there before 12 gets busy.
Warning. When you come here there are only 5 double tube riders. So everyone is fighting over these. The staff do not care. People hide them in there carabnas. Sad. The pool is small and at times full of drunk adults. They don't allow ANY pool toys in the pool. Not even a tiny ball to throw. They also limit any fun. My husband had my daughter on his shoulders and the lifeguard said no. Sad. My daughter also got stuck in the blue slide which is almost pitch black when the water was shut off. She was crying as she had to crawl all the way down.
Love that there is something for every age. The littles have their own slides and the 2 year old played there for hours. The lazy river is a fun way to get from one area to another and the giant pool with the splash pad was a refreshing place to chill. Beware that the food area doesn't open until 12:00 but you can't bring food in. This made for a VERY, VERY angry toddler. The park needs to find a solution for this.
Weather policy is extremely strict. Staff was unapologetic and would not make any accommodations. Poor customer service and communication. When we walked in, “we’re closed because lightning is within a 10 mile radius.” No information, no options, and no effort to keep us there. We would have left completely if it weren’t for the kids. Water park is waaaay smaller than it looks online and not worth the money.
The last Teacher Tuesday post and my FB comment was deleted by someone in their establishment. The ad clearly states $12.95 for ANY TEACHER and when I arrived yesterday with my 3 guests (3 students). I was denied discounted rate because they do not consider a homeschool teacher with a computer printed ID as a valid teacher. This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. In the past this has included all teachers brick and mortar as well as homeschool teachers. Your exclusion is discriminatory.
On Friday, July 5th, 2024, I went with my family to Splash Harbour Water Park in Indian Rocks, FL. If you are looking for a refreshing, less congested place to enjoy with family and friends, this is definitely a great alternative. It is not as crowded as many major water parks in FL. It has everything you need to enjoy a refreshing full day "lazying" down the lazy river, thrilled yourself on their huge water slide, having your kids running excited around chill splash zone. There's no doubt I will not make any mistake by recommending this place. However, I do believe management should take a deep look into their timing when it comes to their decision making process to re-open the facilities when it comes to inclement weather that is very well out of their control. Evacuating people from the pool area in bad weather is wise, the right thing to do, and safe. However, I think they are exaggerating in keeping the water park closed for excessively long periods of time, especially when it is obvious that the weather has improved and does not represent an imminent danger. After keep asking their staff for updates, they keep depending on an online map that is known to not be updated as quickly as we would like to be. And those of us who go out to enjoy with our families after paying a sum of money are penalized by sitting around doing nothing waiting for them to deign to open the park again. This is the only constructive criticism I can offer, since this was the 3rd time I have experienced this bad experience and I understand that it is quite unfair. Common sense makes much more sense than depending on online maps that are far from reality. Simply put yourself in the shoes of those of us who invest in a day of fun, but unfortunately at the end of the day the same management of the facilities ruins such day of fun for us due to their lack of good judgment when making decisions. Take note if you want to maintain good sponsorship for your water park.
We were really surprised with this small water park. I loved the lazy river. Kids loved the slides as well. They have pretty good food here as well. We would go again. You have to pay $20 to park but you get a voucher for $20 off your admission or food.
We brought our infant and were excited to let her float with us in her float. The park would not allow her float, as they said it would limit the view of the lifeguards. It was ridiculous and made our time with our baby more challenging, as we had to hold her the whole time. She loves floating in her float. The staff was not friendly or welcoming at all.
