We had an amazing experience on the Spirits of Jennie Wade Tour. It was fascinating to learn about Jennie Wade, her life, and the tragic events that took place during the Battle of Gettysburg. Being able to walk through the home where this heartbreaking event happened made the history feel incredibly real. This tour was different from a traditional ghost hunt—there was no paranormal equipment used or allowed. Instead, it was much more of a history lesson combined with ghost stories and accounts of experiences others have had in the home. We really enjoyed that approach because it gave us the opportunity to learn the history while also hearing about the property’s paranormal reputation. Our guide, Rachel, was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history. She did a wonderful job telling Jennie’s story and bringing the events of that time to life. It was a moving, educational, and unforgettable experience. If you’re visiting Gettysburg and want to learn more about Jennie Wade and the history surrounding her home, we highly recommend this tour!
We loved Rachel. We had a great time!! We did the combo Jeannie wade house and orphanage.
My husband and I took this tour for the first time. George was such a great tour guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. This was a well worth it tour, and you get more than what you pay for. We would definitely recommend this experience and highly recommend George!
We had a great experience tonight at the night time Jennie Wade tour. We have done the Jennie Wade tour during the day several times but tonight was a different experience for us. I caught some spooky images on my camera. I’m so glad we got to experience this. We love coming to Gettysburg, we have been coming here for years now with my kids. They love it! Rachel was our tour guide she did an amazing job telling all the stories and her personal experiences. Several times in the house I kept getting goosebumps!
That it is a great look back into history and our tour guide Chrissy fantastic. To absorb yourself into the history and to put yourself in the place of these women and what they went thru during this horrific time in our history truly amazing.
We did the night ghost tour. It was interesting. We enjoyed it. However we had a hard time understanding the tour guide. The admission fee was reasonable and he group was small enough that we were not crowded in the house.
Chrissy was our tour guide and she was more than phenomenal. She had great knowledge and stories of Jeny Wade. Will definitely be back and hopefully she will be our tour guide again.
This came up as one of the must to dos in Gettysburg. The price for us to go was reasonable and worth it. We has an amazing guide, George, he was knowledgeable and had a great energy. As we went thru the house our crowd was small which made it more enjoyable and easy to move thru. We weren't rushed thru the experience and able to enjoy the history of the house. It took us about an hour and half to go thru the tour. I would say this is for everyone but i would say kids 10 and up as they may not know what to expect unless they have had a paranormal experience.
We had a fantastic time. My husband kept touching my hair and scarring me. Our tour guide Rachel was exceptionally knowledgeable and such a treat. We loved her. I would truly recommend you getting her if you take this tour.
Rick was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable not only about the tour, also about the history of Gettysburg and all the paranormal activity that comes with it.
