Itinerary
After travelling through the stunning countryside and villages of Wiltshire, we arrive for a short photo stop in the charming town of Salisbury. We walk through the Medieval St Ann's Gate and the cathedral close, seeing an impressive collection of historic buildings, and then take time to admire its impressive tower and spire - at 404 feet the tallest in the country - constructed in a short space of time from 1220 to 1258. We then enter the cloisters, built from 1261, and the largest in the country, to complete our walk. Unfortunately, there is not enough time to enter Salisbury Cathedral on this tour.
On the way to our second stop if the day, Stonehenge, your guide will tell you of he many myths, legends and facts behind one of the greatest mysteries of the prehistoric world. Was it a temple, a clock, a burial site? Decide for yourself as you walk around the stones. You'll have the chance to visit this world famous monument from 4-5,000 years ago and still have enough time for the gift shop or a quick coffee. You'll also have the chance to explore the new visitor centre and neolithic village.
Almost 1,000 years of royal history are waiting for you at Windsor Castle, perched high above the River Thames and the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Home to British Monarchs for one thousand years and the official residence of King Charles III, the Castle remains a working palace to this day. See the splendour of St. George’s chapel and the sumptuous state apartments. The guide will not enter Windsor Castle with you - you will receive a personal audio guide on admission so you can take in Windsor Castle at your own pace. Please note entry to Windsor Castle is not included on a Tuesday or Wednesday due to the castle being closed. This is reflected in the price of the tour.

Great way to end cruise and get to airport. Andy was a great guide and was well organized particularly as to getting us to our different drop offs in London or airport. Having a pickup from cruise terminal all the way to airport without wrangling luggage and seeing classic sites on the way was a great value. Two hours at Windsor and Stonehenge was great. Would have loved more time in Salisbury, but obviously timing for those taking afternoon flights was a consideration in how the tour was scheduled.
We met the tour bus at our cruise destination in Southampton, very easy. 19 People on a 50+ person motor coach so plenty of room. First stop was Salisbury Cathedral. We were given helpful information and Andy accompanied us on an outside lookaround, didn't include inside the cathedral itself. Next stop was Stonehenge. Again, useful info prior and then left on our own to see the site, with a defined time to meet back at the bus. Same with Windsor Castle, the final stop. We did some googling to determine what was best to see in the time we had so pretty much self guided. It was an interesting way to make our way at the end of our cruise towards London/Heathrow. The coach driver was flexible and released our bags at the Castle because we were picked up there by friends.
Definitely worth doing! Andy was our tour guide who was amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable with great humor and hospitality! Keep up the great work Andy!
I was happy to see someone from the company waiting with a sign as soon as we exited the cruise terminal. The bus arrived shortly afterwards and we had a wonderful day. Andy was a great guide. We really enjoyed Salisbury and our visit to Windsor Castle. Stopping at Stonehenge was a bonus for us. We had some time to grab a snack and shop for souvenirs as well. We were dropped right off at our hotel afterwards.
Incredible time we spent after our cruise. Jane was the best tour guide we’ve ever had! She knew how to navigate the crowds and make the most use of our time and kept us laughing the whole day.
This tour took us from the ship to three great landmarks with a knowledgeable guide who gave us much information about all three sites. We got to visit each one for a good bit of time. At the end of the tour, we were driven to our hotels or to the airport. Not only was this a great tour, it was cost efficient as well. Highly recommended.
Excellent places visited. Excellent driver skills. Tour was all inclusive with enough time spent at each place to get the taste and encouraged to go back to visit
Tour guide was great. Tour itself was also excellent. Enough time to explore and see every stop. Very easy to locate the tour after getting off the cruise anbd got us to our hotel after all the sights.
They were easy to find when we got off the ship. The stop in Salisbury is very brief and you don’t get to go into the church, which is explained in the description. We had two hours at both Stonehenge and Windsor. You need to decide what you wanna see at Windsor because you can’t really see it all in two hours.
Good tour. The only thing is that it's pretty quick going to three places in one day. But the guide and driver were pleasant and efficient and we had a good day overall.
